Yellow was red all the way to her ears. She wasn't really that cute! It was all the dress! "Th-The dress is very nice..."

"My thanks," she mumbled around the needle, tugging gently at the skirt's hem to rearrange it. "But it's the model that makes it shine, I think." She stood up and stepped back. Yes, that would do. Rummaging around with the fabric on the floor, she found a spare petticoat and handed it to Yellow. "Will you put this on underneath the skirt? Don't worry, I'll hold up this length of fabric so no one watches."

Fenris averted his eyes anyway. He could never even think of seeing even a little bit of ANYTHING centered around Yellow, or even most of the girls at Hogwarts. He simply wasn't comfortable in that respect. He shifted awkwardly as he looked away.

Violet giggled softly at Fenris' awkwardness. He was so polite and gentlemanly compared to most of the other boys in Hogwarts. "Hey, if you want to sneak out, I won't say anything. But I'm sure they'll be done soon," she whispered to him, half hoping he'd try to leave so she could follow and not have to deal with the nerve-wracking horror that came with meeting new people, afraid they wouldn't like her or she'd say something wrong (and the list goes on and on...).

Anri suddenly realized that members of all four houses were in the room, yet the most aggressive action that had been made so far was Tomoyo's insistence that Yellow try on the dress -- and the two of them were both Hufflepuffs. In all honesty, the Slytherin was acting like an inexperienced virgin, what with all of the awkward shifting and the slanted gaze, and the Gryffindor was about as bold as an elephant that was faced with a mouse. Either the sorting hat needed rehabilitation, or she had mixed up the house colors.
Kneeling to appraise the fabric of the dress Yellow was wearing, Anri asked, "This material... what is it?"

Yellow blushed and timidly slipped the petticoat on as well, also not looking at anything but the floor. She wasn't really comfortable with all the attention she seemed to be getting, especially from the girl she just met. And she was secretly looking for a way to escape the spotlight and get back to her safe, warm bed.

Fenris had always felt the same way around any girl, despite how confidant every other guy seemed. Especially the ones in his own House! Normally it was based around the rumor that Ravenclaw and Slytherin girls were quote 'easy', but Slytherin guys were normally just very confidant. Sometimes he wondered if he wouldn't be better off as a Hufflepuff. But, then again, he wasn't a very good finder... Or even shy. He just naturally distrusted people, until he got to know them.
Like Kida. He was good friends with Kida, he assumed. Violet too, he knew he was good friends with.
He just felt awkward around girls. Especially ones that reminded him of his little sister...

"There, that's perfect." She gave the skirt a final pat and stepped back to admire her handiwork. As if only just hearing Anri's question, she answered cheerfully, "It's cotton, for the most part." The bows and lace, of course, were made of a different material.
She tucked a small fist under her chin and studied her model, her face serious. After just a few modifications, the dress looked like it had been made for her. She was perfect. Tomoyo would have to see if she could obtain her help for future projects as well.

Violet stared at the dress on the Hufflepuff girl, stepping around Fenris to take a closer look. It looked like it could have come straight from her fashion magazines, it was so well done. And it fit the girl perfectly. She reached out a hand as if to touch it, but steeled herself, afraid she would get fussed at. Instead, she ran a finger along the seams, just above the fabric. "The stitching is so well done! It doesn't even look like you did it by hand! This is amazing!"

Finally looking away from the dress and her model, she turned her attention towards the Gryffindor girl. "Thank you for the compliment," she replied with a smile, tilting her head to the side. Ah, over the summer she'd forgotten how cute all of the Hogwarts students were! This girl, though older, was also very pretty, with a slim figure that would fit perfectly with that dress she'd just drawn...she found herself guessing at her measurements in the back of her mind, and then she was asking without thinking about it, "I could make you a dress as well, if you like."

Yellow blushed and tried not to flinch away from the touching. "I-Is it okay for her to touch i-it...?" Yellow shifted a little, glancing towards the door uncomfortably.

Fenris thought it was so cute that Yellow was uncomfortable around all the attention. She looked so much like his sister... But was different in every way. Varania was an attention hog. She practically bathed in the stuff. At this point she would have been spinning and making the dress sparkle. Maybe that's why Yellow was one of his favorite first years. She was like Varania, only if Varania had been raised with his family and not his snooty upperclass grandparents.
He smiled at her reassuredly. "You should wear it to the ball!" Hadn't he seen flyers for that somewhere? Also, he seemed to recall that Jim had been a bumbling idiot over her the other day in study hall. He knew Jim well enough. A bit sarcastic, but so was Fenris. Maybe he should get right on telling Jim to take Yellow to the dance...

Violet's eyes widened. "Oh, no, I couldn't possibly..." She trailed off, thinking it over. "W-would you really?" She didn't really get new clothes unless she paid for them herself, and none of them looked as wonderful as the dresses this girl seemed able to make. Her eyes traveled across the papers strewn around the floor as she thought this.

"Wh-What?! B-B-But th-that's n-not....I-It's t-t-too nice! A-And I'm only h-helping m-m-m-miss Tomoyo!" Yellow's eyes grew as large as saucers and she violently shook her head, biting her lip and wringing her hands at a faster pace. Truth is, she hadn't even thought about the ball...and when she had, she had never imagined going herself! And even if she did...it would only be because there was food at the dance and she couldn't get it elsewhere.

The stuttering first year was beyond adorable. Almost laughing, Anri suggested, "It looks like it was made for you. Not wearing it would be a waste." A thought crossed her mind, "You're sure to impress your date, he'll be completely stunned by your cuteness." In a good way, of course.
