The Restricted Section

[Violet Parr]

The library at night had to be one of the spookiest places in Hogwarts. Violet wandered through the shelves, her invisibility cloak wrapped tight around her body, only the tip of her lit wand poking out. She walked cautiously towards the Restricted Section, looking around her before unlocking and opening the gates. They creaked as they opened, and she silently cursed. Anyone nearby could've heard that!

Pushing on, she scanned the books carefully, pulling out a few promising potions books along the way. Sneaking in here past curfew was so risky, but it was well worth it if she could find the brew she was looking for. If it even existed...

[Anri Sonohara]

Laying curled up in an alcove of the library obscured by curtains, Anri was startled awake by an ominous creaking noise. Late that afternoon, she had fallen asleep whilst rechecking the instructions for Polyjuice Potion. The book lay open beneath her mussed up hair, and she shivered as she heard light footsteps in the aisle on her right. Slowly standing, she lifted the book of dangerous and notoriously difficult potions to her chest, and made her way towards a small light that permeated the bookshelf. If it was the librarian, she would understand, right?

[Fionna White]

Libraries. They never were friends of Fionna's. Unless she was looking up books about fighters, or if she had to come here. But the restricted section... Well, she loved anything dangerous and restricted! Maybe there were some awesome books she hadn't seen yet. With pictures. Lots of pictures. Cake cautiously strolled behind the blonde, her large eyes scanning the room frantically. Fionna pfft'd. "You're so paranoid..." she whispered, very lowly to the feline.

She didn't even care if it was after curfew, didn't bother to camouflage, anything. She just learned about the restricted section today, through the grapevine. Though, she did stick close to the book cases, as if she could hide in them if someone were in there as well.

[Violet Parr]

Pulling out another book from the shelf, Violet wasn't prepared for its weight to suddenly shift on her. With only one hand gripping it, it dropped out of her hand and thudded loudly onto the floor. This time she cursed out loud as she tried to pick it up. She had forgotten that some of the books were enchanted. Her cursing stopped abruptly when she heard two other sets of feet walking around the restricted section. Quickly she took off her invisibility cloak, no one was supposed to know she owned one, and shone her wand around in a circle, hoping whoever it was didn't jump out at her. And that it wasn't a professor.

[Anri Sonohara]

Anri started as Violet appeared almost out of thin air, nearly missing the bundle of cloth that the girl was clutching. Violet was standing with her back to her, wand most likely extended. "Violet?" she whispered cautiously. It wasn't the librarian, but she doubted the Gryffindor had fallen asleep in the library as well, considering her neat appearance. Anri's right hand shot up to smooth her own hair down as her left hand cradled the heavy book.

[Fionna White]

Fionna cried out loudly at the sudden noise, and dove into a book shelf for cover, knocking some books to the ground. With half of her body dangling out the other side of the shelf, she found herself face to face with her two shyest friends. With a nervous laugh and grin, she waved, her legs swinging casually on the other side. "Hey, guys..."

[Anri Sonohara]

Eyes wide with shock behind her glinting eyeglasses. "F-Fionna! What are you--" shushing herself, Anri cast a quick charm to stop sounds from within the Restricted Section from escaping. "Are you okay?" At this point, Anri had decided that this situation could be classified as 'normal'. Frankly, if nothing had happened she would have probably started panicking.

[Violet Parr]

Violet whirled around to spot Anri and Fionna behind her. She breathed a sigh of relief, glad it was only two of her friends. "Oh it's just you guys! Merlin, you scared me half to death!" She tucked her cloak into her large sweatshirt pocket, hopefully without it being seen, then bent down to pick up the book. Placing it on the pile of other books, she looked back up at them and smiled. "Hey," she said simply, realizing she had yet to actually greet them.

[Anri Sonohara]

Placing her giant book of potions on the ground, Anri tucked her wand into her robes and proceeded to grab Fionna's hands. She gave a tug, but the girl did not budge. "Violet, would you help me?" Anri asked. Getting the girl out of the bookcase was going to be tough.

[Fionna White]

Fionna grunted as she was tugged. "Ah, I'm stuck!" She began to panic, and flailed around. Cake, still behind the girl, began to push on her butt, trying to get her unstuck. She hissed at Fionna's flailing, and nipped at her leg to make her stop.

[Violet Parr]

"Oh, yeah, sure," Violet replied. She grabbed Fionna's other hand, placed a foot on the bookshelf to keep it steady, and then pulled. "How did you manage this?" she grunted out.

[Anri Sonohara]

Thanking Violet, she wished there was a spell for unsticking people. Brows creasing from exertion, Anri spoke. "Should I" tug "go around" tug "to the other side" tug again "and push?" She looked to Fionna, "How did" tug "you get stuck in the first place?"

[Fionna White]

Fionna gasped with each tug, the shelf pushing the breath out of her stomach. "I got," gasp! "startled," gasp! "and dove in!" She coughed this time, using her hands to try and push herself out, but to no avail.

[Anri Sonohara]

Letting go of Fionna, Anri sighed. "If we go on like this, we'll probably be here all night. Do you know any spells we could use?" Looking at both Violet and Fionna, Anri hoped that one of them knew some obscure spell that could improve the situation.

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko had been searching the Restricted Section, as usual, for a book to read. This section of the library seemed to have the most interesting stories. Once, even, she'd found a book that told gruesome fairytales to you.

She'd heard the commotion, and she knew a surprising amount of students that snuck around the place at night. She wasn't about to get anyone in trouble, but they seemed like they needed help.

She came around the corner and was surprised to see two of her shyer students, Violet and Anri, attempting to pull Fionna out of a bookshelf. Giggling slightly, Mimiko walked up, book in one hand and her wand in the other.

"Hey girls." She announced.
