Lying in Wait. No... Just sitting. [Open]

John smoothed out his skirt. Like the lady he now was. Something had happened that morning and suddenly! Poof! He was a girl! Needless to say, it was a... fairly interesting experience. So many more thoughts all jumbled in his head! Did girls really keep track of all the stuff that was going on in their brains? He heaved a great big unladylike sigh and slumped against the back of the couch. How much longer would the spell last?? It was fun for the first few hours! But now... Well... John fiddled with a short ponytail. Okay, so listen! You gotta hear about these things! They had to be like... the BEST part about being a girl! You had this hair that you could sort into these little like... ponytail things? Pigtails! And they were so tiny and cute! Best thing ever. You know... Aside from being a man. Manly man! Manly manly man. That's what he was-- But for now, at least, he was a lady. A lady lady... lad...y?

He turned around, peeking over the back of the couch, searching the rest of the commonroom for any other poor souls that had eaten any special food at breakfast that morning. Oh man, that would have been the best prank ever! Like... Acceptable Pranking MASTER material! [Not that anyone could ever beat him as the Pranking Master, it was just an observation.] Was anyone else as happy as he was about the change? It was like a little awesome adventure!

Violet walked down the steps from the girls' dormitories. As a boy. That had been awkward. After the sudden change from her favorite fruit, she had rushed back to her room to change into something more appropriate, and something that would fit better. She absolutely loved that she had an excuse to wear the cap her mother had sent her; it went perfect over her short hair. She was listening to her music through her huge headphones, so she really wasn't paying attention when she flopped down into a chair by the fire, her feet dangling off one armrest, her head hanging off the other. She shoved her hands into the hoodie pockets and stared up at the ceiling, wondering how long it would take until the spell reversed. Although, she did kind of enjoy it, because now it would be harder for her to blend into the background. Maybe. Okay, so being a boy probably didn't change that much about her. She sighed. Oh well.

Another person? Awesome! John bounced over to the guy sitting all by himself! He must be lonely! He probably appreciates his company now, right? Right! Wait... John stared at the boy with the large headphones and the cap. He didn't think he had seen anyone like that around here before? Was he new? Oh! He must have just transferred in! John rolled his eyes, hitting the heel of his hand to his forehead. Duh! So! Time for introductions!

"Hi!" He could barely contain his excitement! A new person! A new friend! "My name is Joh--" Wait. He was a girl now! That means he could have any girlish name he wanted to! "My name is uh..." Think about it, John, think about it... Right! What about Casey? From that awesome muggle movie! The name of the sweet daughter that her cop father went through all the trouble for! And the bunny! THE BUNNY! "My name is Casey! Who are you?"

Violet looked over hearing a voice muffling its way through her music. She took off the headphones just in time to catch the girl's name. Casey. But wait. She stared at the girl carefully. She was pretty sure she had seen this person, you know, as a boy. The black hair, glasses, and slight overbite reminded her of John. Plus the behavior! Who else did she know that acted like that? But, Violet was also pretty sure John didn't recognize her/him. You know, the whole blending into the background thing. "Hi. My name's V-" she smiled, why couldn't she play along with this, it might be fun! "ince. It's Vince. Nice to meet you."

A smile spread across John-- No... Casey's face. "Vince? That's an awesome name! It sounds like Vinz! You know! In this totally AWESOME muggle movie! It's like... This keymaster thing! And it's all like... Raaaaawr! Gatekeeper! Where are you?? And then fwoom!" Casey failed her arms around, trying to describe exactly how awesome a certain scene from said muggle movie was. And hey-- It was pretty awesome. "So, uh, where did you transfer from? Was it someplace cold? Or hot? Or kinda in between? I guess those places are okay, but I really like the cold, but I guess that's where I"m from, speaking of which, can you tell? I bet you can't. Or maybe you can!" Casey was lost in her thoughts, happy in her own little world of wonderful movies and run on sentences, almost completely forgetting Vince. Almost. "So what are you doing here? Just hanging?"

Violet giggled at 'Casey's' antics. Yeah, that was definitely John. It reminded her of her brother; he also loved talking fast while using run-ons and such. She kept track of the questions, making a mental list of answers as she did for her brother. Then when he stopped, she cut in with her answers. "Um, yes I know that movie. Although, I'm not sure I like my name being compared to something like that. I came from someplace kind of in between, but I have this sort-of uncle who loves to use weather spells to make it snow all the time. So whenever he is around, it's cold. No, I couldn't tell you were from a cold place. And yes, I was just hanging around here. Quite literally actually, as you could probably tell."

Edge walked down the stairs, praying to any and all deities he could think of that no one was in the common room. He hazarded a quick glance down and saw a young man with a hat and super-awesome totally stealable headphones, as well as... John. With pigtails. In drag. OR it could just be the genderbending that got so many students. 'myself included,' he mentally added, lightly tugging at the green turtleneck he was wearing to try and conceal his new curves. He lightly tiptoed his way down the stairs, hoping neither of these vaguely familiar figures recognized him. Or saw him, for that matter.

Violet leaned her head back on the armrest, giving her an upside-down view of the girl trying to sneak her way past her and John. She wasn't sure if this was supposed to be an actual girl, or a guy-turned-girl, but either way, she found she actually didn't recognize her. "Uh, hey," she said in her slightly lower pitch voice, taking a hand out of her hoodie pocket and giving the older girl an upside-down wave.

[Edge Geraldine]

Edge paused. "Craaaaaaaap..." he silently muttered. "Oh, um, hi!" He replied with fake cheerfulness. "I don't think we've met before. I'm-" Edge ran through a list of names in his head before settling on a decent one. "-Yuffie! You are?" He smiled lightly, a maneuver that would have normally been meaningless, but alas, he didn't have a mask, so he actually did appear as if he was happy. Which was as far from the truth as physically possible.

Violet smiled at the girl, still unable to determine who this was based on behavior. John had been so easy to guess! Maybe she was someone new. "Vince. Good to meet you." She nervously messed with her cap a moment before moving her hand back into the hoodie pocket. Music was still quietly filtering through her headphones and she awkwardly sat in her chair waiting for someone to say something. She hated trying to start up conversations; it never turned out well.

"Hey! That's Vince-- But you just heard that! And I'm Casey!" Casey grinned, bouncing up to the newcomer. There was something... familiar about the girl... Yuffie, right? There was just something... But she couldn't put her finger on it. She frowned, staring at the girl, standing up on her toes and leaning in, as to try and match Yuffie's height. She seemed normal enough. But... There had to be something! That's what her gut was telling her! And if she ignored her instincts for too long, they started complaining! So! She usually listened to her intuition. And right now, her intuition was telling her something was just OFF with the new girl! She hadn't seen her around the school, did she transfer? Why were there so many transfers recently?

Edge lightly scratched behind his head, unsure of what to do. He wanted to leave, but he didn't want to suddenly leave the boy alone with John. He noticed the large headphones that the mysterious boy. "uh, what are you listening to?" he asked, slightly interested.
Edge paused and looked over at John. "John, I know it's you. Don't even try to hide it." No matter what gender John was, his unendingly nerdy somewhat dorky nature would give him away in a heartbeat.

Violet started giggling but quickly turned it into a laugh, remembering that boys didn't giggle. She was a bit pleased at the sound of her laugh; it was nice. Anyway, she turned her attention back to John and Yuffie. "You were acting too much like yourself to try and hide it, John." Then she fidgeted with her headphones with one hand. "Um, well, the headphones are enchanted to play whatever music fits the mood I'm in, so right now it's playing...." She tugged one side up to listen and snorted. Of course it would be the band of all-male singers despite their female band name. "The Weird Sisters."

Edge raised his eyebrow at that. "I don't think I've heard of them. I mostly tend to listen to Muggle music, like pop." He looked quizzically at the headphones. "Uh, d'you mind if I can listen?"

Violet shrugged, taking off the headphones and handing them over. "Sure, but I can't guarantee it'll be the same music for you...."
