Transfiguration [Third Years and Up]

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris sighed, rolling his eyes to Violet. "Does she HAVE to act up, every time? Can't we ONCE have a NORMAL class?"

[Vincent Valentine]

Vincent glanced over at Isabela, already feeling his own anger beginning to bubble. "Of course you can, Isabela." He grinned. "You can walk out that door and never have to come in here again. It'll be one horrible headache that never has to touch me." He pointed at the door, his grin widening. "Go on. Leave. Don't expect me to teach some idiot who doesn't want to be taught. I hope you're aware that if you DO leave, however, I'm automatically failing you for the remainder of the year." His grin quickly vanished. "So, do you still want to leave horrible Mr. Valentine's class, Mr. Rivaini?"

[Anri Sonohara]

Quietly observing the situation, Anri covered up a yawn with the palm of her hand. This sort of thing was a waste of time. Brushing back her fringe, Anri pulled out parchment and a quill. Foolish humans.

[Isabela Rivaini]

Isabela gasped. A failing grade? No way was she gonna take that. Isabela Rivaini did NOT fail.

She swung her legs on the table, laughing heartily. "Nah Mr. Vincent, I think I'll stay, seeing as you seem to love me oh SOOO much."

[Violet Parr]

Violet snorted. "Yes, she does. And this is Hogwarts, Fenris, I think we gave up on normal a long time ago." She whispered this to Fenris, so as not to further irritate Professor Valentine. She just wanted to get started so that the class would end sooner.

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris sighed, and nodded in response. "You're right." He offered her a hand nonchalantly, crossing the space between their desks and placing his hand on top of hers. He gave her a sweet, blushing smile from his hidden place within his hair.

[Vincent Valentine]

Vincent crashed back into his chair, already feeling the beginnings of a migraine. "well, then MR. Rivaini, considering I care about you OH SO much, I'm going to do us both a favor and assign you as my student helper. Anytime one of your fellow classmates need help, I expect you to be the one to help them." He glanced over at Fenris and Violet. He opened his mouth to reprimand them, but he thought back to when he was in that exact same spot with his own beloved. He shut his mouth and smiled lightly. I'll let them off the hook this one time, he thought to himself. He glanced around the room. "Well, considering no one else decided to show up for class today, I'll just mark the slackers absent and continue on. As I stated before, this is Transfigurations class. This class is not for the weak of heart, body, or mind. I expect you all to be on your best behavior at all times, and heavens help me should one of you be so bold as to forget an assignment." He paused to let his quick speech sink in. "Any questions, comments, concerns, Isabela say anything ridiculous and/or offensive and you get thrown out of my classroom indefinitely?"

[Shion Sonozaki]

Shion heaved a heavy sigh. Being a man was annoying, what with wanting to be the "alpha male" or whatever. Is that why Masaomi and Edge always flirted? To prove they were better? Well, no more of that. Shion cracked her/his knuckles, before hunching over in her/his seat. She/he took out some paper and a quill, and began to scribble on it, just 'cause.

[Isabela Rivaini]

Isabela smiled. "I'd LOOVEE to be your student helper!" She saw this as even more of a chance to terrorize Mr. Vincent's classes, and even further on to later dates! For now, however, she was momentarily sated, and simply sat on the edge of her desk, swinging her legs.

[Vincent Valentine]

Vincent paused. What the hell had he just done by making ISABELA his helper? This day just kept getting stranger, and his migraine was rearing it's ugly head. "Moving on. Can anyone give me the definition of Transfiguration and a practical use for it in our world? And if you say anything I consider snarky or idiotic, I hope you aren't too fond of your free time because you'll be losing quite a bit in detention."

[Violet Parr]

Violet let go of Fenris' hand and raised her own in the air. "Transfiguration is a type of magic that alters the form or appearance of an object, by altering the actual molecular structure of said object. A practical use for it is if one needed a match in order to light a candle, but did not have one, they could transfigure something they did have into a match."

[Anri Sonohara]

Half-listening to Violet's explanation, Anri began twirling her quill about her fingers, letting it spin like a pinwheel as she tossed it a couple inches above her hand, and then catching it with her forefinger and middle finger, continuing the rotation with her fingers. As she spun the quill, she mused about Transfiguration. It was, technically, safe, but she couldn't help but wonder what would happen if someone were to consume a transfigured object, and if someone else were to accidentally cast the counterspell and nullify the transfiguration. Would the person die, perhaps?

[Vincent Valentine]

Vincent nodded in approval at Violet's explanation. "Good! A bit by the book, but still good that not everyone in your generation is a lost cause." He motioned at the small plastic bats he'd placed on everyone's desk. "I'd hoped to do this during October, but due to planning issues..." He waved his hand, as if to clear the air of that topic. "Anyways, I want you to each attempt to change that plastic bat into a real one. It shouldn't be too hard, considering you're really just undoing a Transfiguration I put into place not too long ago."

[Isabela Rivaini]

Isabela looked down at the bat on her desk. Easy peasy. She aimed her wand at it and flicked her wrist, and her plastic bat became a real one that fluttered up to the ceiling and hung there.

"See Mr. Vincent? Told you I was good at Transfiguration!"
