Chilling in the Trees

[Violet Parr]

Violet leaned against the tree trunk, sitting on one of the highest branches. She was listening to her enchanted headphones, one of her favorite muggle bands playing through her ears. Her heavy black robe lay discarded at the base of the tree (hey, it was hard to climb in those things!) and she had on a simple pants, shirt, and Gryffindor tie combo. Right now, her attention was focused on the rustling leaves above her head, the wind blowing them in amusing ways that made patterns on her black hair with the sunlight.

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris walked out onto the grounds, having already abandoned his robes inside the castle. He stretched his arms, yawning. He was wearing a long grey sweater and black pants, a Slytherin scarf around his neck instead of the usual tie.. He still hadn't gotten over his girl form's obsession with grey on black.

He saw the robes abandoned at the bottom of the tree and looked up, smiling at whom he saw. He climbed quietly up to her, popping up next to her.

"Hey Vi."

[Violet Parr]

Violet glanced down at him and smiled. "Hey Fenris!"

Suddenly the music from her headphones changed.
Can you feel the love tonight?
The peace the evening brings
The world, for once, in perfect harmony
With all its living things

Violet started blushing and quickly removed the headphones from around her ears. She fumbled a bit and they slipped off her neck. Reaching out to grab them, her movements were too jerky and quick and she wobbled a bit on the branch.

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris instantly reached out a hand to steady her, smiling. "Are you alright?" He climbed up onto the branch next to her, after making sure she was steady.

Fenris looked down at the headphones, which had caused her so much distress. "What were you listening to?" He held it up to his ear. The song changed, of course.

"If you're lost you can look, and you will find me...

If you fall I will catch you, I'll be waiting...

He blushed and handed the headphones back to her.

[Violet Parr]

"Yes, I'm fine, thanks," Violet replied, steadying herself as he joined her on the branch. She took the headphones and fiddled with them. "Nothing in particular. They play songs to match one's mood." She looked curiously at Fenris. "What did you hear?"

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris paused, blushing again. "I heard.... Well... It'd be better if..."

He looked at her, completely deadpan serious. He sung the song in a silky baritone, his voice not actually half bad.

He sung with his eyes closed, so that he wouldn't have to look at her. She was probably laughing at him silently. He finished, and still sat with his eyes closed.

[Shion Sonozaki]

From a rather far way away, Shion growled and stomped out onto the green grass. She was highly upset, and it was apparent; her cheeks were red, her eyes were squinted, brows furrowed. She wanted to kill something, or at least hurt it. She needed to release her anger, and had beckoned Edge to help her, but had yet to show up, thus making her more upset.

[Violet Parr]

Violet listened to Fenris sing, a smile on her face. He had a beautiful singing voice, something she didn't have. She wrapped her arms around her legs as she listened, waiting for him to finish. When he did, she leaned against him, saying, "You have a nice singing voice."

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris blushed. "Thank.... Thank you." He wrapped his arms around her tentatively. He wouldn't want to push her too far.

[Edge Geraldine]

Edge tore down the grounds frantically, hoping to reach Shion in time. He had promised to help her with something and, in his own idiocy, had forgotten that it was today. He ultimately found where she was and screeched to a halt. "[Ohgod, Shion, I'm sorry! I got caught up with things and, and-]" He stopped for a second to catch his breath. "[I'm really sorry!]"

[Shion Sonozaki]

Shion glanced up at Edge, sighing. "It's alright, I just want to get rid of this anger!" She kicked up some dirt with a frustrated grunt. "How dare he just stand there?! I could've been hurt, and he wouldn't have helped!"

[Violet Parr]

Violet smiled up at him to let him know that she was fine with his arms around her. She looked down at the ground and then across at the lake and began to giggle. "I believe this is the exact same tree where we officially became friends."

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris blushed, and looked around. He smiled and nodded. "And now look where we are. Back to the beginning, but with so much more past between us." He chuckled. "Like... The Dementor fight. I was so very scared of losing.... you...."

[Edge Geraldine]

Edge nodded in accordance with Shion's statement. "Well, if it's venting you want, I always found that actual physical combat helped. On inanimate objects, of course." He added hastily, pulling out a pair of hand wraps from his pocket at the same time.

[Violet Parr]

Violet blushed. "M-Me too." The dementor attack had been terrible, and she was so afraid of losing Fenris after just having realized her feelings for him went beyond friendship. Just thinking about it made her shiver, so she snuggled in closer to Fenris, her hair automatically hiding her face.
