Age and year/Age and job: 17, 7th year
Appearance: Edward has short, gray-green hair and a cowl covering the lower half of his face. He wears long-sleeved white shirts, usually, and gray sweat pants. He often wears a long white cape, mostly to add dramatic effect.
Personality: Edge is the epitome of arrogant. He has an ego bigger than most people, and enjoys flirting with girls any chance he can get, believing he is “God’s gift to women.” However, he does have a soft side and is incredibly defensive of those that he cares about, going so far as to get into actual fist-fights with those who insult his friends.
As stated before, Edge does have a kind side to counteract his egotistical side. He’s always been a supporter of the weak, and he has a deep sense of right and wrong. His voice has a bit of a foreign tilt, due to spending a good portion of his life in Japan and speaking mostly Japanese. He tends to be very strong-headed, not usually accepting advice from anyone.
Canon history: In Final Fantasy IV, Edge is a ninja and the prince of the Kingdom of Eblan. He travels with the main party to avenge the death of his parents at the hands of Golbez.

AU history: Edge is the child of a powerful wizard and a Japanese muggle. He spent most of his childhood in Tokyo with his mother, where he gained an interest in Japanese history and mythology, specifically the ninja. From an early age, he attempted to recreate the feats of ninjutsu that he read about, more often than not succeeding. When his father caught wind of what young Edge was doing, he was thrilled. He pulled his son aside once and explained to him what his amazing feats truly meant, and, in the process, gave Edge a great sense of pride in what he could do. He practically jumped for joy at the prospect of being a wizard, although he thought it would be more fun to be a NINJA wizard. When he got the letter from Hogwarts, his father took him on a grand spree throughout Diagon Alley, buying him both the necessary materials as well as anything that caught young Edge’s eye. His boggart is seeing his father leave him.
House: Gryffindor, mostly because he does have a noble side and will run to the aid of anyone he feels needs help. Even when he's at his weakest, he fights for that which he believes in.
Magical Strengths and Weaknesses: Edge is horrible at most forms of charms and transfiguration, but is exceedingly talented when it comes to Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Wand: A 12 ¾” wand, with a core of kelpsie heartstring.
Other: He prefers to be called Edge, due to confusion with many other Edwards he’s met throughout his life.

Edge spun his wand in between his index and middle finger, trying to figure out the solution to his latest conundrum. “What to do, what to do…” he murmured. As he sat on the edge of his seat, staring intently at his transfiguration homework, a rather stubborn mouse that refused to become a block of cheddar, a spark went off in his mind. He sat up, obviously excited as he give a quick flick of his wrist and murmured lightly. The mouse stiffened and turned the consistency of old cheese. Edge grimaced as he realized that using the Japanese forms of certain spells left things a little to be desired…
