Name: Celty Sturluson
Series: Durarara!
Gender: Female
Age and year/Age and job: Age 17, seventh year
Appearance: She always wears her robes, no matter what. Even at home. Even in the shower. She has no head. Literally. Her shoulders slope up and her neck ends as if her head were cut off. In the place where her head belongs, inky black smoke drifts up from her bare neck. Even though she doesn’t have a head, she can still sense where things are around her the only setback is that she cannot talk. Celty has an hourglass figure.
Personality: Celty has a difficult personality to understand. She is a human but because she lacks a head she barely thinks of herself as a human but still wants other people to recognize that even though she is suffering from a horrible curse she is still human. She becomes clumsy when she gets excited, and is an adorably terrible liar. She is terrified of being completely rejected by human society, even though she embraces the fact that she may be a monster. Celty is terrified of ‘little green men’ aka aliens. This is a little ironic, considering she is the most terrifying thing most humans will ever see. Celty doesn’t get angry easily, but when she does she unknowingly drags that anger in one area into every part of her life, and will become snappy and sarcastic with everyone; especially when those people around her make jokes about the things she’s afraid of (*coughcough* SHINRA *coughcough*). In most areas of her life, she tries to keep a level head and an even mind; but she isn’t quite sure if deciding to live without her head has made her able to join with human society or if she should do the opposite and try to escape human society. In general, she is a conflicted individual and looks to others for advice when she has trouble making decisions.
Canon history: Celty came from Ireland to Japan chasing the man who stole her head. She makes a deal with Shingen Kishitani which would provide her with a place to stay until she found her head just as long as she allowed Shingen to dissect her. Twenty years later, she remains living with his son, Shinra Kishitani and is still searching for her lost head. Her greatest desires are to recover her head and hopefully regain the memories that she lost, and to stay with Shinra forever.

AU history: Celty is a human girl. She is able to see thestrals because when she was very young, her parents were killed for their debts. Before they were killed, they sold her body to an insane wizard surgeon who experimented on her. The result of those experiments has lasted forever. He detatched her head, and then lost it. Or so he claims. Another result of the curse that took her head is the reality that she no longer ages at a normal rate. The experiments were completed on her when she was only ten years old. Her true age is almost twenty three, but she is currently a seventeen year old. The only person who believes that she doesn’t need her head is the school nurse, Shinra Kishitani. So she began to help him and they have grown quite close despite her knowing that it was Shinra’s father who cursed her all those years ago. Her boggart is an alien. (y’know, little green men? :3)
House: I think that Celty could be in any house. She is heroic enough to be in Gryffindor, cunning enough to be in Slytherin, and unique enough to be in Hufflepuff. I think she might be put into Slytherin, because Gryffindor and Hufflepuff don’t quite fit Celty right and Ravenclaw is out of the picture.
Magical Strengths and Weaknesses: Celty specializes in offensive/defensive magic. She is decently good at learning history and moderate at charms.
Wand: Celty uses a wand made of walnut that is twelve and three quarter inches long and the core is made of Augury tailfeather. In addition, she is unable to speak for herself, so she uses an enchanted quill made of another Augury tailfeather to write in midair

Celty sat down in her Defense Against the Dark Arts class, she was exhausted. She had spent all night helping the school nurse in the hospital wing with the victims from the recent Quidditch match. Of course, it had to be the night before her favorite class. Oh, and her favorite class had to be at seven in the morning. Even worse; she knew that right now there was still work she could be doing. At least by next year she could probably become a full time assistant for the nurse. Then she wouldn’t have to leave him in the middle of a rush to go to a class, even one that she liked. Taking her quill, she absently wrote, using the smoky ink in midair. “My head is here” She sighed and waved a hand through the words, making them disappear. “I hope he isn’t too busy. I’ll only be in this class for two hours.” She laughed, realizing that normal people talked to themselves; well this was her version of that. She wasn’t talking to herself! She was writing to herself…which might be worse. If anyone saw her they would probably think that she was insane. Well, there’s nothing to do about it now, she just had to get through this class and then she could run back to the hospital wing.
