Isabela smiled and nodded. "Well, technically my father is, but he's giving me the ship and the family business when I'm done with school. That's why I pay so much attention in Charms. I could run ten ships at one time with all the things I've learned there." She reached for another, thicker branch, and vaulted onto it. This branch was wide enough to sit on, which she did, swinging her legs.
"Not all of us pirates are all 'yo ho' and whatever, if that's what you were thinking. That's just a drinking song." She giggled. She did, however, know the words. She'd never been a part of the festivities, of course, but it was hard to tune out twenty or so loud, off-tune, singing men.

"Ohh, that makes sense." For a second, a ridiculous image of Isabela with an eyepatch and beard popped into his head. He'd have nightmares about THAT for a while. Edge chuckled lightly. "I never thought I'd have a pirate-to-be as a classmate." He leapt up the tree until he reached the very point, then proceeded to balance on one foot. Or try at least. He fell down a few feet before he could grab a conveniently-placed branch. "Remind me not to try that on this tree..."

'Don't do that on this tree." She said sarcastically. She could never make it to the point of a tree and even HOPE to balance. Ships had flat surfaces once you got to the top, and you didn't need to balance, you could just stand. She stood on her branch, and began climbing up the tree using branches as handholds and footholds, until she was sitting on the very branch Edge was hanging from.
It was a thin branch. She desperately hoped it wouldn't break. It'd be a long fall if it did.
{{OCC: This means I REALLY want the branch to break. But you decide.}}

Edge looked down. "Ah shi-" his curse was cut short as the branch snapped and the two began their long, most likely painful fall to the unforgiving ground. Edge, used to being in situations like this, simply pulled out his wand, murmured something under his breath, and grabbed Isabela's hand as the two began to fall more slowly, ultimately ending in them landing safely on the ground. Edge brushed off his clothes off any leaves that decided to stick to him and looked at Isabela worriedly. "Are you all right?"

Isabela laughed. "I'm fine. Shoulda known the darn thing would break." She looked down at herself. Other than a few minor cuts from some branches she'd hit, she was fine. She made a mental note to look up that spell later. It might come in handy to save people some serious injuries once she was Captain of the ship.
She noticed Edge's worried look. She hated when people fretted over her, because on the ship that was seen as a sign of being a weak individual. Wanting to avoid that topic as much as possible, she gestured to the tree. "So tree-climbing, check. You're awesome at it. What else were you going to practice?"

Edge slapped his forehead. "Gah! I completely forgot about training!" He ran over to where his CD player was (still) on and he shut the thing off. He then grabbed Isabela by the wrist and dragged her to a small pond he had found a couple years back. "You see this pond?" He asked her.

She giggled. "Of course I do. It's right in front of me." She liked this pond, actually. Sometimes there were little tadpoles swiming around in it, and she'd venture out everyday until they turned into frogs and left.

Edge nodded. "You're gonna walk across this pond." It was a sort of rite of passage in his family. If anyone in the family displayed any sense of magic, the family would take them to a body of water and make them walk across it. When he did it, he had to cross a raging river in the middle of a storm, but that was another story. He leapt into the pond, lightly touching down in the very center. "I'll give you a shot, and if you don't get it, I'll teach you."

Isabela looked down at the water, and frowned. Walk on water? That should, in theory, be POSSIBLE, if only one was light enough on their feet. Just in case, however, she took off her boots and socks, and wriggled her bare toes. She rolled up her leggings so that they wouldn't get wet either.
Stepping on the water, she lifted her other foot, but as soon as she moved she fell into the water up to her shins.

“Mmm?” Shion hummed to herself at the strange noises coming from nearby. She had been out walking, looking for Mion, but hadn’t spotted the hawk yet. The noise sounded like a branch breaking, and with some hesitance, she meandered in that direction. “Hello?” she called out softly, even though it didn’t seem as if she really wanted anyone to hear her. Now, there were splashing sounds, and she knew there had to be someone there. That’s when Edge and Isabela came into view. She stopped, and slipped behind a tree, not really wanting to disturb them. She had wanted to see some of Edge’s moves, however, and watching Isabela being trained may be entertaining. Deciding upon it, Shion hoisted herself up into the tree, and crawled out onto a branch, so that she may see them, but they would not see her.

Edge laughed lightly. "Most people would try it that way first." He walked over to where Isabela stood, slowly adjusting her positioning so she was on the balls of her feet. "This is going to involve some actual magic. You are aware of how we use wands to channel our magic? Think of your feet as the wand, and you're simply pushing all the magic there so you can 'walk' over the water." While walking in Isabela's direction, edge noticed a flash of green in his peripheral vision. 'Shion, probably.' He pretended not to notice, just to see what her reaction would be.

Isabela concentrated like he'd told her this time, and found it quite a bit easier. She couldn't believe it when she looked down. She was actually walking on water! She walked all the way across the pond and walked back, absolutely fascinated.

Edge grinned from ear to ear. "Good job, Isabela-hime! I knew you could pull it off!" He called out a little louder. "If you'd like, Shion-hime, I can show you as well!"

From above, Shion watched with wide eyes as Isabela actually walked across the water. Her hair slipped away from her back, and dangled from the tree. Shion took no heed; it was green, it might blend. But then, her name was called, and she jolted, losing her grip. With a cry of shock, she dropped from the tree, but grabbed at a branch as she fell. She wasn't that high up, but it was still frightening. She hung there now, feet from the ground, staring at Isabela and Edge with a nervous smile. "I, ah..."
