Celty stood with her feet in the cool water of the lake, she had decided not to wear her shoes outside since she had known that she was going to do this. She wasn't even sure why she was out here in the lake...she was just here, thinking about her head. Actually, thinking ethnically shouldn't be possible without a brain. But, she supposed, she mist still be connected to her head in some way and would be using that to move. It makes sense...but also doesn't make sense.
Her body had become strange like that after the experimentation. Perhaps if she spent more time searching for her head and less time helping Shinra in the hospital wing she might find her head. Yeah...she should spend most of her time searching.

Edge meandered his way along the school grounds, not caring if a single soul spotted him. It wasn't like he NEEDED to be stealthy at school. He just felt like it. While walking, he spotted a semi-familiar sight: a girl about his age with no head. he lightly jogged over. "Ahh, Celty-hime! How are you on this fine day?"

Celty quickly turned toward the sound of Edge's voice, her pen flashed through the air. "Hello Edge. I'm fine. How are you?". She carefully stepped back onto the bank of the lake, drying her feet in the soft grass and quickly covering them with her robes.

Edge smiled. "same as usual, I must admit. Life hasn't been terribly eventful." He shrugged and looked out at the lake. "How's the water?"

"The water is cool. Not very warm, but not frigid either. You didn't seem very stealthy as you came down. I heard you." Everytime she completed a thought, the words would be erased as she began to write her next reply. The smoke from her neck, drifted up lazily, not particularly agitated at the moment. She was a little embarrassed that she had been caught in her contemplation, but at least just standing in the lake wasn't too embarrassing.

Edge shrugged. "Eh, I wasn't feeling stealthy today. Anyways, what were you up to?" He walked closer to his fellow seventh-year.

"I was just thinking." Her shoulders shook a little with silent laughter, and the smoke from her neck quickened with little puffs. "I'm not even sure how I can think without a head. It isn't like I have a spare brain hidden somewhere else in my body." Slowly she calmed down and returned to her normal pose, hoping edge understood her attempt at humor.

Edge laughed lightly. "You never know, Celty-hime. I've found more often than not that my legs seem to do more thinking than my own brain does." His tone became slightly more serious. "Besides, who says that brains are necessary for thought?"

"It is not necessarily true, but that seems to be the common belief." Celty shrugged, trying not to look back at the trees that so fascinated her.
