Name: Yayoi Suzuka
Series: Mugen Spiral
Gender: Female
Age and year/Age and job: 13, third year
Appearance: Yayoi has long, mousey brown hair, dark brown eyes, and pale skin. She’s about 5’6” and is fairly skin, not from malnourishment, but from excessive exercise.
Personality: Yayoi is a very serious person, and often willing to help her friends. You can’t get anything past her. She’s basically unwilling to admit that she truly loves her friends, and loves them very deeply, and is focused on remaining strong to keep her promise to her parents. She likes cats (I assume) and spending time with her friends. She dislikes loneliness and dishonesty. She’s very blunt and straightforward and would like everyone much better if they were straight forward with her. She assumes the best in people, but, if crossed, is completely willing to beat them into submission. Yayoi’s “purpose” is healing and protecting the innocent, and she is determined to achieve this goal, no matter the costs. Yayoi is beginning to believe everyone has an innocent corner of their heart, and is very much willing to help people grow that part of them.
Canon history: Yayoi is the 78th head of the Suzuku Mystics… In fact, she’s the only one left. Her parents died attempting to help save the innocent, and she promised them she would continue their quest. She eventually traps a demon named Ura into a cat-form and befriends him. The series is about her relationship (?) with Ura and the lengths she goes to help everyone, with the aid of her 108 spirit friends.
~AU Info~
AU history: Yayoi’s parents were both exorcists, and she thought it was a fluke when she could initially banish evil spirits. She made friends easier with the dead than with the living, and often was seen alone, and ended up becoming a bit socially awkward, i.e. blunt, straightforward, and fairly simple. When she discovered she MIGHT be magical, she was amazed. Healing and exorcism had always run in her family, and she wasn’t expecting this. Sometimes she wonders if it’s a dream, and if she’ll wake up from it soon. Sometimes she wonders if it’s a good or bad thing. She’s told people she was muggle-born so she wouldn’t have to explain the difference between spiritualists and witches and wizards (difference is, spiritualists deal with a different kind of magic: spiritual magic, where witches and wizards deal with physical magic, which is found in the natural world). Originally, Yayoi didn’t want to go to Hogwarts, but her parents insisted it would be a good thing to learn about her “second magic.” She eventually decided to go, and when her parents died in a spiritual mishap, she became especially grateful of their advice. After all, she had a place to go to several months of the year. This year she was planning on broaching the subject of perhaps living at the school all year round. Yayoi frets over wheatear or not they’ll let her, because she hasn’t been the BEST student, due to her dual magical lineage.
Her boggart is her father and mother's broken hand mirror.
House: Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. My reasoning for Gryffindor is her unwillingness to let anyone or anything innocent be harmed; similar to the Gryffindor’s mantra of doing the right thing. Hufflepuff because of her deep love of her friends, even if she’s unwilling to consciously admit it.
Magical Strengths and Weaknesses: She’s incredibly stilled at healing, battle, and defensive magics. Most “frivolous magics” like divining, most potions, charms, and anything that doesn’t have to do with healing, battle, and defense, she’s pretty bad at.
Wand: Rune-inscribed Poplar wand, 13 ½ inches, with a unicorn heartstring core.
Other: Yayoi doesn’t smile too often. Due to her experiences, it takes a lot to get her to smile, and typically only does so when she’s alone. However, it’s not that she’s boorish. She’s a lot of fun, she just has trouble in joining in the fun. Because she's had to fight demons, she has a lot of stamina, and is good with melee, but doesn't really see a point in doing so often.

Yayoi sighed at the exreme tedium of history test. Sighing louder, Yayoi wodered why her spirits refused to help her on this test... they had lived through it!
Drawing another doodle on the side of her page to clear time until this torture finallly finished, Yayoi purposefully blocked out all awareness of her incresingly growing audience in other students.
Glancing up, she noticed Meidoh, a spirit she befriended a few years back. Raising her eyebrows to indicate her awareness of Meidoh, he proceeded through the classroom silently. Yayoi knew that the other witches and wizards in the class were completely unaware of his presence, without the specific magic required to see him.
"Yayoi..." He began. She froze. She knew. Her physical conection to human society had been severed.
Her parents had just been murdered.
