Yayoi was nervously shifting around, worried about what to say. Slowly she spoke up, unsure of how to proceed.
"Does anyone know where I can find the headmaster...? I need to speak with him."
Looking around the room, she didn't expect an exact reply. She really needed to talk to any of her professors.

A calm voice from the corner of the room answered her.
"I am not sure you can see him unless he wants to see you." Tomoyo watched the other girl with steady eyes from behind her book. What could be that urgent?

Yayoi bit her lip, racking her brain for a solution. Eventually she turned fully to face the voice that had spoken to her.
"Do you know if I could speak to one of the professors regarding some... home issues?"
Debating wheater or not to trust this stranger, she remained reserved.

"That seems reasonable." She got to her feet, closing her book and leaving it on the table. Picking her way through the comfortable chairs that cluttered the common room, she stopped by Yayoi's side. "Is there a problem? Anything I could help with?" The girl seemed older but somewhat confused.

Yayoi blinked, wondering if she could trust this younger girl. "Well... I'm a terrible student, so I don't actually know too much about magic..." she confided "but someone sent me something disturbing and I wanted to know what it was."

"I am sure you're not as terrible as you think. Have you been getting strange mail...?" There were many students who played pranks on newcomers as a matter of course; perhaps Yayoi had merely been a victim of one of them?

Yayoi chuckled darkly. "I'm a terrible student... and..." She shuddered. "I was sent a broken mirror from my village... it has....." Choking, she finally spit it out. "It has... images.... running across the surface...."

The girl's words and tone worried Tomoyo, but she tried to keep her emotions out of her expression. "You were sent a cursed item? Is that right?" she clarified.

Yayoi looked at the girl blankly. "Well... I don't know if it's cursed, but its disturbing."

"Hm...perhaps if you explained the situation more precisely?" Tomoyo was unsure what exactly the other Hufflepuff was getting at.

Yayoi took in a deep breath, knowing this was going to sound bad. Veeeeery bad. "The mirror has the image of my parents getting murdered. Over.... and over.... It's...." Yayoi shivered, unable to continue. There were no words to describe how disturbing and twisted that awful little mirror was...

Oddly unperturbed by the gruesome description, Tomoyo tilted her head thoughtfully. "That sounds quite odd. Perhaps if you brought it to a teacher they could take a look?"

Yayoi shifted uncomfortably. "Who would be best to ask about something like this...?" Who would be willing to talk to one of their worst student.

She frowned and tapped her chin with one finger as she considered. "Professor Rosalina is very nice! So is Professor Mimiko. But if it's something illegal, I would take it to the hospital wing, actually." She smiled sweetly as though she hadn't just implied that Yayoi would need illegal help-- or that anyone in the school would give it.

Yayoi coughed. "What do you mean illegal?!" She roared indignantly. How dare someone suggest that she would do something so.... She couldn't think of a word...
