Name: Gaia Stone

Gender: Female
Age and year/Age and job: 17 7th Year
Appearance: Gaia is pale and thin, with black hair going just past shoulder length with it often hanging in her face. She's small and short, and easily slips into crowds. Gaia hates people looking at her for extended periods of time because the left half of her face is burned.
Personality: Gaia is a very caring person, who always needs to do what's right. She's shy, and has a bit of a beauty complex, and some inferiority problems. Gaia tends to slip into the shadows and appear without those noticing her, because she didn't want them too. Resourceful, smart, and always willing to learn something new, Gaia makes a very good student. She's fiercly loyal to her friends, though slightly mistrusting of strangers. She's not squeemish and can look at things objectively.
Canon history: Gaia and her mother are the only midwifes in Western Sector 3 in the 25th century. Humanity is on the brink of genetic meltdown, and Gaia, her family, and friends are at the very center of the cure. Gaia eventually helps her mother give birth to Maya, Gaia's sister, only to watch her mother hemmorage and die a few minutes later.

AU history: Gaia grew up with both of her parents magical working at Mungo's Hospital, helping people. Her two brother's Odin and Arthur had already completed Hogwarts when Gaia FINALLY got her letter. She couldn't wait, she wanted to help people very much. She applied herself quickly and easily, running into a few fights along the way. She was never afraid of doing what needed to be done, and saying what needed to be said.
House: I think Gaia would be in Ravenclaw; because of her love of learning, or Gryffindor; because of her need to do the right thing.
Magical Strengths and Weaknesses: Gaia's very good at healing magics and curses. She loves history, but doesn't really excel at it. She's a star at Potions, but sucks at Charms. Gaia can competently use a few curses, but not very many. She has a tendency to find one spell that works, and stick with it.
Wand: 9 3/4 in cherry wood with pheonix feather core
Other: In this universe, Gaia's parents are alive because the circumstances in which they died could not have possibly been repeated, and, as much as I want to, I don't think Gaia could take care of her baby sister Maya while going to school. Due to the way her charecter is though, I am going to make her father... deceased...
Her boggart: Her boggart would most definately be a stillborn child or a dead infant.

Gaia was scratching out a reply to her family. Her brothers were happily working, though they had yet to get houses of their own, and Gaia was happily planning on becoming a doctor, just as her parents were.
Gaia smiled at the picture of her little sister, Maya. Recently born, and still a bit red from the birth, she still showed enormous adorable potential. She couldn't wait to go home to meet her little sister and help raise her the way her brothers had done for her.
Gaia smiled, bittersweet, remembering her father... only a few months gone... sighing, she sealed the letter, and sent it out. Her baby sister might grow up without a father, but she most certainly was going to grow up with her sister and brothers.
