Fenris stabbed his food with his knife, not really eating anything. He simply sat in brooded in silence, as most dinners tended to go with him. Not many of the Slytherins tended to even pay him any mind, let alone talk to anyone outside of their respective circles. In fact, he probably good name on one hand the house-mates he knew by name, let alone those who he had bothered to carry a conversation with. Many of them were purebloods, and some even knew about the famous 'Candor Squib Disaster'. He only wished that the dinner would be over quickly, so he could sulk back in the Common Room and not have to be around so many people. And so Fenris sat, lost in his reverie, staring down at his plate with his permanent scowl.

Mimiko sneaked in, taking the only open place at the teacher's table: The very end. She pulled off her blazer and hung it over her chair, looking around. It seemed most of the other teachers, even the new ones, seemed to know each other, which kind of sucked. She was always horrible at making friends, and being late didn't help. It wasn't quite her fault that she hadn't been able to make it onto the train in time: She couldn't find her way onto the platform! No one seemed to know where it was, and once a wizarding couple of parents had helped her, the train was gone. The wizarding school in Japan had never had anything so complicated. And so she'd decided to Apparate. But, apparently, Hogwarts was protected against such things, and she'd really appeared inside their "Forbidden Forest". After wandering around lost for two hours, a friendly Centaur had finally helped her find her way... But, by then, she was late to dinner and had missed the precious sorting ceremony she'd been dying to see. She pouted down at her plate.
