Vincent blushed lightly and looked away. He wasn't very good at accepting compliments, especially not from other men. Especially if they were rather attractive themselves... "U-um, thank you, Count." He stammered.

Vincent looked over at the man. "In all honesty, I felt like the lucky one. She was essentially my best friend and she saw me through my rough childhood." He sighed. "I was devastated when she died. It was like a part of me died along with her."

"Yes, that must hurt very badly." The Count didn't quite understand such a feeling. He was secluded most of his life from other humans, and never really experienced loss. Maybe it was like when one of his animals died? That was heart wrenching.
