(( NUUUUU ))
"Edge?" Shion looked at him with concern. He was taking it hard, of course, but almost... too hard. She held him close and placed a gentle kiss on his head.

"They're gone, Shion. They're gone." He whispered, embracing the green-haired girl. "My parents are dead. What do I do? They were the people who raised me, who I relied on." He sobbed, his eyes shut tightly. "Now what do I do?"

Tenderly, Shion continued to stroke his hair and back as she held onto him. She didn't know what it was like to lose even one parent... "Edge..." What could she say? Nothing could make this better for him...

Edge held Shion closer, the flow of tears slowing, but not stopping. "I didn't even get to say goodbye... We didn't even leave on good terms... I feel horrible." He pulled away and looked at Shion, his eyes filled with tears. "What do I do...?"

Shion wiped his tears away with gentle strokes. "Go to the funeral, say your goodbyes, and let them know you love them..." She kissed his forehead. "I think they already know that, though..."

With a deep sigh, Edge nodded. "I... I should do that. Say my goodbyes." He took Shion's hand in his own. "...I know that this may be asking a bit too much, but I'd like you to come with me. It'd mean a lot to me, and..." He looked away. "...I don't want to go alone."

Shion gripped his hands just as tightly. "Edge, of course I'll go with you. I would never expect you to face this alone..." She placed a hand on his cheek, and offered him a faint smile. "I love you, I'll stand with you through this..."

Edge smiled faintly at Shion, his eyes still wet. "Thank you... This really does mean a lot to me..." Softly, he placed a kiss on her lips. Nothing fancy, not too long, but he said with it more than words could convey. "I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they're gone..." He picked up a black feather and examined it, musing.

Shion looked over the feather as well. "I know, but... You'll see them again, someday..."
