She beams and looks off into the distance towards the lake, replying, "Well, this is my first year at Hogwarts, but I spent my first year of magical training at Beauxbatons Academy." Belle's smile falters a bit but returns to normal quickly.

Francis nodded. "I see, may I ask why you change schools?" it was mere curiousity poking in. He had wanted to go there but as he wasn't a girl it wasn't possible. So he wondered why this girl had changed to Hogwarts.

Belle smiled at the tenderness he showed his bird, "Oui~ I am a second year here at Hogwarts, and you?~" She looked at him quizzically.

He reached into his pocket for more seed. "Ah shame we won't 'ave classes together, I am sixth year student." he replied with a slight pout.

She chuckles and produces a roll she snuck out of the dining hall that morning and broke it into small pieces, "here Pierre~" she holds out her hand full of bread pieces to the bird. "oui~ It is a shame, you seem interesting to talk to." Belle gave him a sweet smile.

Francis smiled as he watched his dove hop onto her hand and cooed happily before starting to pick at the pieces of bread. He chuckled softly. "Merci, you seem also. You also seem very good with animals." he said as he watched pierre on her hand.

She coos back at the bird smiling and looks thoughtful, "I never noticed, merci for the complement~" Belle, knowing the bird was tame, cuddled the dove against her cheek and motions to the ground beside her. "Would you like to sit?~"

Belle asked idly while petting the cooing bird and giving him a sideways glance, "So....What house are you in Francis?"

He smiled slyly. "Slytherin~" he was proud to be sorted into this house. "And you, Belle? he asked hoping she'd be in it too. At least everything but gryffindor.

She replies matter of factly, "Ravenclaw~ It is so nice to be surrounded by similar people, don't you think?" Belle smiles happily at the memories she has gained while here.

He nodded and smiled. "It is, it really is~." he agreed. It was nice to know you share something in common with everyone here, it made it easier to befriend one other, non? "Ah don't you 'ave classes too, today?" he asked suddenly wondering if he was holding her up.
