~Character Info~
Name: Fenris Candor
Series: Dragon Age 2
Gender: Male
Age and year/Age and job: 14/4th year
Appearance: Fenris has fine white hair, and fleck filled eyes of the forest color. He does not pay attention much to his looks, which is a sad circumstance of the way he was brought up. He lets his hair grow long, and styles it only when it gets in his eyes. Fenris is lithe, agile, and fast, but is slightly lanky. He is almost never in style, and simply wears what is most comfortable when he gets up in the morning. <http://dragonage.wikia.com/index.php?title=Fenris&image=Fenris_close-PNG>
Personality: Fenris is very moody, most of the time. In canon, he is once asked if 'they have brooding contests where he comes from'. In response, he replies that he is perfectly content, implying that he has a permanent scowl. This perpetual state of gloominess tends to make him seem untrustworthy to people in higher positions, and he tends to revel in the fact that many consider him a 'bad person' when in reality he can be quite nice. He has a slight gambling problem, as in canon he often admits owing debts to many of his friends, but as imposing as he is, most people let the debts slide. Fenris is rarely afraid, and in fact only has two main emotions: neutral and angry. Only a select few people can tease out even a smirk.
That being said, Fenris does have certain groups that he has an aversion to, magic users ironically being one of them. He had a rough childhood when it came to interactions with the wizarding world, and he tends to avoid the subject of what happened like the plague. However, Fenris is a loyal friend, if one can gain his trust. After one has, Fenris will let nothing, not even a thousand death eaters, stand between him and someone he is trying to save.
Canon history: Fenris is an elven slave, who had tattoos burned into his skin by his mage master, and may have had other experiments done on him as well. In canon he despises magic users, and believes they should all be punished for any deviance from their studies. His only wish in life is to be done with his master and be free.
~AU Info~
AU history: Fenris {derived from the Norse legend Fenrir, a wolf who bit off the right hand of god Tyr} grew up with two muggle parents. These parents were not 'overly normal', but were a classic suburban couple. They lived, however, in a neighborhood that had one too many owl-owning couples. These couples' children were mostly purebloods, and did their very best to tease Fenris all the way into a deep depression, one that he is still trying to climb his way out of. Fenris never even considered that he might one day be sharing the world that his snooty neighbors belonged to, until his tenth birthday...
Fenris leaned out his second story window, feeling the wind whip through his hair. This day seemed different. It wasn't for the fact that it was his birthday; such an instance came every year. No, today felt different. Even the wizard kids were inside their houses.
One shadow detached itself from an awning across the street. Fenris had seen such shadows a million times before. The shape was an owl, delivering yet another letter for that ridiculous school of magic, and such a letter only spelled one thing in his mind: trouble. Hogwarts would spawn another snot-nosed magical brat, who would brag on and on for hours about how, 'Her parents were so proud!' or, 'My father bought me the best broom on Diagon Alley!'. And Fenris would have to sit through more hours of torture, being the only 'muggle child' on the street.
The owl zoomed across his vision, landing on his mailbox. It fixed him with a beady stare as it deposited a letter. In his family's mailbox. He gazed at it, and it seemed to gaze back with just as much intensity. He pushed away from the windowsill and sat, feeling a shiver go up his spine. What would his parents think, having a wizard in the family? Would they be proud, or would they treat him with just as much scorn as they gave the other purely wizarding families on the row.
He felt his brow start to sweat as he took the stairs down to where his mother sat, watching a so-perfectly 'muggle' news station. Fenris cleared his throat, and stepped in front of the T.V.
"Mother...There's a letter in the mailbox..." And so began the newest stage of Fenris' life, as the very thing he and his parents had learned to loathe in life.
House: Fenris is very classically Slytherin, I believe. His is moody, and has a don't-mess-with-me kind of attitude. He also sly, as evident by his ability to gamble, but could possibly be outsmarted by a Gryffindor, as evident by the fact that he has debts. He is not easy to 'win over' and will only give his trust to a very small bubble of people, which normally lends itself as a Slytherin trait.
Magical Strengths and Weaknesses: Fenris has an aversion to magic, which is his greatest weakness. He can't preform spells very well because he himself doesn't trust magic. He does, however, have a particular interest in Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies.
Wand: A detailed Rosewood, 11 1/2 inches, with a phoenix tail feather core.
Other: Fenris has a longing to become a Thestral Animagus.

Fenris sat at the back of the class, silently willing away the minutes, and praying that the professor would not call on him. Conveniently, his wand was 'forgotten' inside his trunk, as it had been for a majority of the school year. As he watched the seconds tick by painfully slowly on his oh-so-obviously-muggle watch, the inevitable occurred. Fenris responded quickly to his name, rose, and began to think on his feet.
"Well, professor, you see...There was this trouble with a Gryffindor...."
