Gumball laughed along with him, although he'd never met the person he was talking about. "She sounds like an entertaining person. Is she a relative?"

"She was indeed. No, she just lived next door to my house. But I would've loved to have a great-grandmother as fun as her! The first time I met her, she chased Bloo and me all around her yard until she caught us and dragged us in to serve us tea." He laughed. "What about you? Know any eccentric people?"

"That sounds like a lot of fun!" He could just picture the scene, even though he didn't have a clue what Bloo looked like. "Hm...I suppose I could say that most of the people I know are eccentric."

Mac continued to laugh as the scene played in his mind over and over. Gumball's answer didn't really satisfy him. He still didn't know much about the older boy, despite the fact that they had been talking for a good while. "Yes, but any in particular? Any family members that stand out as exceptionally fascinating?"

"Family members..." Gumball thought it over. "Well, none that I can think of. There's one of my friends back home, though, who's rather funny. He's the son of one of my father's business partners. It's hard to describe what makes him funny, though. It's his speech pattern, I suppose? He speaks like a valley girl, for some reason."

Mac laughed, trying to imagine a boy with a valley girl accent. "That is funny!" He fidgeted with the corner of the paper in his lap, bending it back and forth as he thought of something else to ask. "So, if you don't mind me asking, what's with the pink hair? It's not a natural color, at least in the muggle world, and it doesn't look like a dye job either."

"It's magic. A misfire, actually, from a sort of magical candy my father was testing when I was younger. I'm...fond of it, though." He hoped the other boy wouldn't find that odd; it wasn't that bad for a man to like pink. Most of his friends got used to the bright obnoxious color after a few weeks.

"Cool!" he exclaimed, tugging subconciously on his own painfully plain brown hair. "It suits you," he added thoughtfully. It fit with the unicorns. Plus, a boy that liked pink and unicorns wasn't really that strange as long as you kept an open mind about it. His thoughts were interrupted however, when his stomach decided to let him know that it had finished digesting its food and was ready for a late-night snack.

She feels their gaze again and looks up, wondering if she is paranoid.

"Thank you." Gumball replied, thanking him not only for the compliment but also for him putting up with his various idiosyncrasies. When the boy's stomach growled, he only smiled. "Hungry?"

Mac chuckled nervously, silently cursing his stomach. "Yeah, I guess so." He thought of the bag up in his room. "I have some of my mom's homemade sugar-free chocoloate chip cookies in my room. She sends me some every week. If you'd like, you can try one." He also noticed that the girl in the corner was looking at them again. He directed the next part at her. "Would you like to join us? I was just about to go upstairs to get a snack." He waited briefly for their answers.

((OOC: fff...she has an essay she's writing, so she won't be back on till tomorrow~ We can wait for her, right?))
Muggle food! Even better, muggle cookies! Gumball could not contain the smile on his face at the thought of getting to taste them. It would be a wonderful experience to find out more about both muggle food and this 'sugar free' notion. "Thank you, that would be marvelous."

((OOC: I totally understand. I'm actually being distracted from an essay right now. I'll wait for her to respond.))
Mac nodded and stood up, trying to remember how many cookies his mom had sent him that week and if he had enough to share with potentially three people. He turned to the other girl to hear her response.

((OOC: so sorry! German essay kicked my butt ))
Belle looked surprised and nods, "IF it wouldn't be a bother I would love some." Her book closes and disappears into her ever present bag.

((OOC: No problem! German kicked my butt too!))
Mac smiled at the girl. "It's no problem at all! I have plenty left. Just let me go up to my trunk to get them; I'll be back in a few minutes." He left the common room and headed up the stairs.
