Name: James (Jim) Pleiades Hawkins

Gender: Male
Age and year/Age and job: 11 years old/ 1st year
Appearance: He has baby blue eyes and medium-brown hair; the back of his head is shaved with a rat tail at the very end and he has long, parted bangs. He often wears a pale yellow, loose, long-sleeved shirt, rolled up to ¾ length, and a button down collar.
Personality: Jim is very rebellious and strong-willed; he is brilliant when it comes to inventing and planning, but is very independent and won’t take much advice from others. He also tends to have an attitude problem and speaks before thinking, often getting him in trouble.
Jim can also be very sweet; he’s never afraid to help out with what he believes is right, and he will always help out when someone is in need. Although he doesn’t pay much attention in school, his mind is a steel trap and will remember anything that he tries to pay attention to.
Canon history: Jim is the protagonist in Treasure Planet. He is given an odd sphere, which is the key to finding Treasure Planet, also known as Flint’s Trove and the Loot of a Thousand Worlds. In the process, he runs into a gang of pirates.

AU history: Jim was born into a lower-class Muggle family. His father was a traveler and was never around, forcing Jim to grow up in a fatherless household. He was a brilliant child; he was building new inventions and gadgets when he was very young, but he never even thought that he might have magic powers. One day, he received a letter from Hogwarts. He and his mom were both surprised, and his mom thought it was best for him to stay at home where it was safer. But despite his mom’s objections, Jim became excited and was headstrong on attending Hogwarts. Eventually, he persuaded his mom to let him go.
House: Jim is most likely to be a Gryffindor, however he has Ravenclaw Potential. He is chivalrous, brave, strong-willed, and often doesn’t follow the rules. So despite his intelligence and cunning personality, he would grow the most in the Gryffindor house.
Magical Strengths and Weaknesses: He would be best at Charms and Transfiguration. He would not be the strongest in Herbology and probably won’t do very well in most classes because of how easily he gets bored.
Wand: Juniper wand. It’s 10¾” with a core made of merfolk hair.

Jim stood in front of the professor’s desk with his arms crossed, completely tuning out all sounds as he silently fumed to himself. He wasn’t going sit there and let the jerks in the back of the classroom spit paper wads at him because he was a 1st year; he was fed up. Turning around and slugging them was a great idea at the moment. So, he followed his gut reaction. Looking back, just letting the teasing go was far better than listening to this sermon. He let out an annoyed sigh and rolled his eyes.
