Name: Masaomi Kida
Series: Durarara!!
Gender: Male
Age and year/Age and job: 15/Fifth Year
Appearance: Japanese ethnicity, naturally has black hair but it has been dyed blonde. Has an average build, pierced ears, and hazel/almost yellow eyes. Stands at 5 foot 7, and weighs 132 pounds. Basically, he looks like a delinquent but has a very approachable ‘air’ about him.
Personality: Masaomi has a very friendly and outgoing personality, almost always constantly joking around and hitting on girls (unsuccessfully :P). He is very faithful and cares deeply for his friends, sometimes even serving as an older brother sort of figure. He will always find a way to make a lighthearted comment or joke. Even though he loves to joke around his jokes are actually pretty bad.
Even so, his outgoing personality can also be interpreted as a sort of mask. He can be very insecure and has a hard time dealing with guilt and confrontation. Due to events that occurred before his transfer to Hogwarts, he tries to prevent himself and any of his friends from getting involved in anything too dark. He can also be scary when he wants to be, in the form of a tranquil fury.
Canon history: Grew up in Saitama, Japan and then moved to Ikebukuro. Formed a gang called the Yellow Scarves around middle school and got involved in a gang war with an opposing gang by the name of the blue squares, involving in the kidnapping of his girlfriend and her severe injury. After the incident he attempts to cut all ties with his former lifestyle and invites his best friend from child hood to attend the same high school at a grasp for a normal carefree lifestyle.

AU history: Masaomi was born and raised in Saitama, Japan to muggle parents. As a child he grew up as the class clown and would constantly drag his best friend around on countless ‘escapades.’ It was around that time that he started causing strange things to occur and display slight magical abilities. His parents, having noticed, found it odd and became worried. (More so for what the neighbors would think.) When it started to become harder to hide, they decided to move the family to a new location closer to Tokyo in Japan. Thety were then approached by a representative of the school of wizardry in Japan and were informed of the fact that their son was indeed a wizard. Masaomi was sent to the school without much of a thought, and attended there for 4 years. There, he ended up forming a sort of group that was meant to be only a sort of team of friends, but ended up growing into something more akin to a cult, or gang. After a fight broke out between him and another group of students and his girlfriend was severely injured and subjected to the cruciatus curse, he was expelled and his parents relocated him and the family to England, (“The school for…’wizards’…is supposed to be the best there! …Plus, it was the perfect opportunity for my husband to take that fabulous job offer he always wanted!”) where Masaomi, seeing this as a new opportunity for a fresh start, began to attend Hogwarts. His boggart takes the form of his old girlfriend.
House: Gryffindor, due to the responsibility and protectiveness he displays towards his friends, always placing himself in danger first without a second thought, even to the point of stupidity.
Magical Strengths and Weaknesses: Excels highly at dueling, but falls short or around average with pretty much everything else. He especially sucks at History of Magic, Divination, and Potions.
Wand: A whippy Rosewood wand, a bit over 9 and ¾ inches, with a core of salamander heartstring.
Other: Always wears a white hoodie underneath his uniform. Always. He also has a good amount of physical strength for someone of his stature and plenty of fighting experience. He has also opted to bring a pet with him to hogwarts, in the form of a small kitten named 'Linda'. His patronus takes the form of a Rooster.

Waving his hand at his fellow male compadres, Masaomi gave a smile and dismissed their chiding.
“Don’t worry, I have everything all worked out~☆”
Shoving aside some of the furniture, he cleared out the space before him and his target. Bending down for a running start, he shouted out enthusiastically, without breathing between words-
“Onetwothreeandgoooooooooooo!”
-and took off towards the stairs leading up to the girls dorms. Just before reaching the first step he leaped up and stuck both his feet out to steady himself between the two opposing walls of the hallway, and glared intently down at the stairs.
“……”
He watched carefully as the stairs below him flattened themselves out into a slide. And that was all. He turned at his stomach and gave the other guys a large grin and a thumbs up.
“See! ‘Told ya it would work!”
Placing his hands on the wall for extra support, he shimmied his way up an extra foot.
“Man, I am such a gen-“
He perked his head up as the sound of the breeze coming from upstairs began to pick up into something stronger.
“…-ius?”
There was a loud crash when Masaomi Kida was blown backwards by an impossibly strong gust of wind, slamming into the grouping of furniture he had previously set aside.
