~Character Info~
Name: Marshall Lee the Vampire King [But is going to be named Marshall Lee Graven for this AU]
Series: Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake
Gender:Male [Genderbent version of Marceline]
Age and year/Age and job: 16, so, sixth year
Appearance: Technically, in canon, Marshall Lee’s skin is a bluish-green color, but for this AU, he’ll just be very… very pale [almost seeming blue at sometimes, but that just may be the shadows playing tricks on you~]. He has longish black hair that either fwooshes or just flops in his face, but he really doesn’t seem to mind. He has two freckles on the side of his neck that he jokes are vampire marks. His posture is horrible because he prefers to slouch, but he can straighten up when he really feels like that. Unfortunately, that‘s almost never. He refuses to wear the uniforms correctly, but can get away with only so much rebellion, so usually in the form of a button or two unbuttoned, his tie undone, or sleeves rolled up. He doesn’t like wearing plain, black shoes and prefers to wear his pair of beaten-up red converse. Although, if he applies thought and time and actually wanting to look decent, he can clean up quite nicely.

Personality: First impressions aren’t Marshall Lee’s strong point. He usually comes off as “evil” or a “bad seed,” Of course, once you get to know him, he’s more of a trickster or a troublemaker that loves harmless teasing and playing jokes on people. He’s not intimidated by much, and is quite mischievous, which usually gets him into trouble with authority figures. He talks a lot about his “evil plans,’’ but they “fall through” or he “gets bored of them.”
Despite being such an nuisance, he really does care about his friends and will help them… Although, he does have his priorities. He loves his bass more than anything and will definitely choose it over you. So, get it? Don’t touch it. Strawberries are something he loves almost as much as his bass, and can usually be seen eating a few. Although, for all his demeanor, he actually does have feelings, but they usually never surface. Though when they do, he’s usually talking about his family.
He is kind of possessive over his things, but that’s just because he was an only child, used to getting what he wanted [which is why he was so surprised when his mother took something very important to him. His fries.] He could also be described as a “wild rocker dude” and a “fearless daredevil.” He loves playing his bass and is very talented at it, even choosing to sing along sometimes.
Canon history: Marshall Lee appeared in a special, gender bent episode of Adventure Time. He was on screen for a short time and had no speaking lines. Though, he can be compared to Marceline, his female counterpart.
~AU Info~
AU history: Born into a pureblood English family, Marshall Lee had impeccable upbringing, although you wouldn’t be able to guess that with his frumpy demeanor. His parents split up when he was very young and he chose to live with his dad. He and his mom aren’t on the best of terms and he has some [okay, a lot] of issues with her. He thinks she didn’t want him and that’s why she chose to leave. He misses her, and, even if he talks badly about her, he still loves her and is willing to say this out loud… Maybe. He enjoyed his time with his father, although he never really talks about him. He just remembers when he would get all scratched up from his ‘adventures’ when he was younger and his father would help him apply first aid to his scratches and minor wounds. He didn’t have many friends when he was younger [okay, so he didn’t have any friends.], but he got along fine without them. Although, there was a girl he used to hang around with. They started off on bad terms, but eventually became friends and the two used to play together sometimes, but she moved far away, and he hasn’t seen her since.
As soon as he got his letter to Hogwarts, his father took him shopping for everything he needed. There wasn’t a doubt in the world that he wouldn’t be a wizard, it was just a matter of when he would begin to show signs of magic. It had started later than his mother and father expected, causing them to grow more and more anxious over their social status, but he didn’t disappoint them, and soon enough, little signs appeared [mostly levitation].
House: Slytherin. Let’s face it, shall we? Slytherin values ambition, cunning, leadership, and resourcefulness. And, you know. Blood purity. Slytherin is viewed as the “bad” house to be sorted into, but first impressions aren’t always everything and if you searched below the surface, you’d find just another normal house [kind of like Marshall Lee]. He’s sly and cunning, though he usually uses these factors for practical jokes… Resourceful too; he’ll create a prank out of whatever he has handy.
Magical Strengths and Weaknesses: Marshall Lee excels at magic like Transfiguration, Charms, Apparition, and though he’ll never admit it, Divination. He doesn’t do so well with Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Potions, History of Magic, or anything else that requires extensive note taking. He’s more of a hands on kind of guy and needs to be able to actually do something to understand it or find it interesting, which is why he doesn’t like/doesn’t do well with “note taking” subjects.
Wand: His wand is just a bit over nine inches and is wobbly [the wand juts out at some odd angles]. It’s made from the bark of a birch tree The core is made from the hair strand of a vampire and dragon bone.
Other: Marshall Lee is frickin’ amazing at flying. He tried out for the Quidditch team his first year, although he fell just a bit short. Though, since second year, he’s made the team each year, his sixth year not being any different. He loves dragging his broom around, even though it’s just a pain, and not necessary for any of his classes… Except, well, Quidditch.

Marshall Lee ran down to the Quidditch field. It was, literally, the only class he ran to. Even if he was late [which was quite normal for him], he always ended up sauntering down the hall, only to get yelled at when he got to class. But not Quidditch. Quidditch was different. Quidditch was definitely worth running for. Tossing his bag down, not minding the CRUNCH he heard [no big deal, probably homework], he hopped on his broom, an older model that happened to still run smoothly, and kicked off the ground, soaring into the air. The feeling was so freeing, he had no idea how anyone couldn’t like flying! Leaning back, Marshall yawned, the blue sky and soft breeze making him drowsy.
I could go for a nap… Just a few minutes.
Marshall closed his eyes for, what he swore, was only a second, but when he opened them again, the world was upside down.
“Must’ve almost fallen off the broom,”
He mused to himself, scratching his chin in a mock thoughtful pose, not bothering to get right side up again.
“Awesome!”
The boy grinned, swinging back up so he was sitting on the broom, instead of just hanging by his knees, flying quickly back to the ground. Class was almost starting and he didn’t want to miss a single thing.
