He took an involuntary step back, then mentally chided himself. He shouldn't judge her just because he'd misunderstood her actions. "Not usually like this," he replied, "Usually it's...slower." More dignified, he wanted to say, but he didn't want to insult her.

"Slower? You mean like a waltz?" She flashed him a smile and turned on her toes, heading back into the chamber where the music was coming from. "I can help you out, then~" she said as she vanished into the darkness of the chamber.
The music stopped suddenly, and only the clicking of buttons could be heard from the room. Then, slowly, wonderful classical music built up into a grand orchestra of sound. Shion strode out of the room, quite content with herself. "Please show us some moves, if you don't mind."

He smiled. "Yes, this is closer to what I'm used to. But I am going to need a partner if you expect me to demonstrate..." He extended his hand in the direction of the three of them, although it was fairly obvious he intended the invitation for Shion.

Shion gladly took his hand, even though she was a little nervous. "I'm not very experienced, I hope I don't look like an idiot..." She smiled sheepishly at him.

"Nonsense. It takes skill to look like an idiot if at least one of partners know what they're doing." He placed one hand at her waist, adding, "and I believe you know more than you let on." This was something he was good at, something he could do. He could feel his shaky heartbeat and blush from his freak-out earlier fading as he moved into a routine so familiar that it was comforting.

With a nervous squeak, she followed his movements, watching her feet carefully. She was never very good at slow dancing, not that she ever really tried it. She was more used to just swinging her hips and hoping no one would notice that was all she could do. This was something completely new to her.

He was careful, not wanting her to trip or feel like a fool. "You're doing fine," he promised. How long until their refreshing moment of peace was broken by Marshall making a rude comment? He found himself glancing over at the other boy, even though he really should have been concentrating on Shion and the dance.

Seeing him look at Marshall made her glance over as well. Could he dance like this too? Was she the only one? Gumball's reassuring comments were just that, but she still felt awkward. After the incident back home, human contact really wasn't her thing anymore.

Yellow was wondering around the dungeons, looking for the party she had been invited to...unfortunately she had gotten lost. She wasn't even sure how! She had followed the directions just as they had been written!! She turned another corner and met a dead end...she may not get to the party tonight....or even get to bed.

Jim watched the scene play out between Shion and Gumball; he hadn’t said much, but he wasn’t normally the talkative type either. He noticed that Gumball was very gentlemanly, and Shion was rather elegant. They practically looked like a painting the way they were dancing, and it made Jim smile. He hadn’t ever danced with another girl before, but neither had he much of a desire to do so.

Even though her dancing was a bit awkward and off at first, the music soothed her, and her steps became more graceful. She followed Gumball with more enthusiasm, and closed her eyes so that she may get deeper into their dance. All was peaceful until Mion cawed in an almost panic, and took off into the darkness of the dungeon.
Shion's eyes widened, and she released Gumball to chase after her bird. "Mion! Wait!" she cried. Where the hell is that bird going?! It was then she hit something warm and small, and it knocked the breath out of her. Had she run into someone? The darkness of the chambers wouldn't allow her to see anything.

As Shion ran after her bird, Gumball found himself abandoned with the other two guys.
"Should I...go after her?" He wondered aloud. She was a Slytherin, so she should be far more comfortable in the dungeons than he...

Hesitantly, Shion reached out to feel what she had hit. It was indeed a person, but she wasn’t sure who. “Hello? Are you lost?” She slid her hands down the person’s arm to their hand, and grasped it, gently pulling them towards the light of the party. “Come with me, you’ll be safe."

Marshall nodded, finally tuning back into the conversation. "Totally go for it, dude--" Maybe he'd get lost along the way... One could only hope! But Shion seemed nice... She'd probably organize a search party for the Ravenclaw and then where's the fun in that? That's right. There isn't any. "-- Unless you wanna dance by yourself, cause it looks like you're not gonna get a partner." Chuckling, Marshall relaxed against the wall, his safe zone. Shion hadn't cast a spell, meaning she wouldn't... But then again... She's a girl. You never know. She might just spin around and try something new... Or well, she could, but she wasn't in the room anymore... So. Back to the first statement. Safe zone.

"Oh, be quiet," he replied, a little miffed. She was too far ahead of him; he'd get lost. He didn't much enjoy the thought of being lost in the dark dungeons in the middle of the night. Instead, he walked to the wall next to Marshall, not wanting to be in the center of the room-- and therefore attention-- anymore. He was a little embarrassed, after that whole dance thing. He hadn't meant to get so carried away and make a fool of himself like that.
