Mac looked down at his feet in embarrassment as his two older Ravenclaw friends called out to him. Well, Gumball called out, Anri waved. He walked over towards them. "Hey," he said in greeting as he took a seat. Looking over to where the commotion was taking place, he asked, "Did Amitola start something again?" He spotted Fenris not far away, but it didn't seem like he was involved this time.

"The Gryffindor girl?" Gumball didn't know her all that well. "Yes, she was pulling a prank on a first year. Luckily the Professor had it under control..."

"It was..." Gumball searched the room for the brown-haired first year, pointing him out once he'd located him. "It was that Gryffindor student. She levitated his chair..."

"Yeah her...I've met her twice so far and each time she seemed to be causing or continuing trouble." He continued listening to Gumball's explanation. The brown-haired Gryffindor was... "Oh, that's Jim. He's in a couple of my classes." Then he registered what else Gumball had said. "Wait, she did what?! That's dangerous!"

"Yes, I know. She seems to be very...reckless." But then, that was a trait common to Gryffindors.
"Professor Blackwell got him back down, though, and he's alright now I think."

Mac glanced over to Jim again at Anri's words. She was right, he seemed unhappy about something, sort of 'out of it' to use a simple phrase. "You're right. I know Jim, well we're friends anyway, and he doesn't seem like the person to be down because of a prank. And he's not scared of heights either- he was amazing in our Flying Lessons class! Maybe I should go over and talk to him. See if he's ok."

Yellow smiled, not quite believing Shion about the Slytherins but nodding anyway. "Okay. Thank you." She wondered whether Shion would be upset if she went back to reading her book. It was really interesting and it was explaining some things about the wizard world to her.

Anri nodded at Mac's suggestion, and turned back to the situation with the Professor and Amitola. It crossed her mind that she should study, but in the end she did not.

Shion patted her friend on the back lightly, and closed her eyes. "I know you want to get back to studying, I'll leave you to it." She rose, glancing around the room for another place to sit. She didn't want to disturb anyone, but she didn't want to be bored, either.

Seeing Shion stand out of the corner of her eye, Anri gave another wave. Then, pausing to think, she wondered if study hall was over. How long did she have to stay here?

Shion caught Anri's wave, and smiled. she began to stride over to where her friend sat, and sat across from her. "Hey, mind if I join you guys?" She looked at Gumball, and, seeing that he was trying to study, closed her mouth after muttering out a 'sorry.'

"No, it's alright." He dismissed her apology. "There's far too much chaos to study anyway." He closed his text book to prove the point.

Yellow went back to reading her book, grateful that Shion hadn't minded. Occasionally she glanced over at Jim, he seemed upset. She hoped that it wasn't her fault...but maybe...or maybe not...or perhaps she should just go over there and ask him! But what if he got really mad at her...well...she couldn't be indecisive forever! She slowly walked back over to Jim, a little more timid than she probably should have been. "Jim? A-Are you okay?? Y-You seem a little lonely...a-and upset?" She stood there for a moment and wondered if anyone else in the entire hall had come over to talk to Jim or if she had been the only one and then had deserted him.
