Appearance: Anri has short, straight black hair that stops a couple inches above her shoulders, and a fringe that stops just below her eyebrows. Her eyes are a dark brown and she wears a pair of large glasses with circular frames. She is 152 cm tall, and is rather busty. Overall, she can be considered cute.
Personality: Anri is a quiet and sometimes introverted girl. Though very intelligent and resourceful, she feels slightly uncomfortable with attention. Anri is polite to everyone, but has very few close-friendships. She has a rather soft voice. One notable point in her personality is her inability to 'love'.
She enjoys viewing art (picture appreciation) and is quite athletic.
Though she generally avoids conflict, Anri is capable of being a dangerous opponent, using Saika (a cursed blade) to control and fight people in canon.
Canon history: Initially, Anri is simply a classmate of the main protagonist (Ryuugamine Mikado), who she becomes close friends with. Later on, however, she gains importance as the wielder of Saika, the demon blade which severed Celty's (a dullahan) head. It is revealed that both her parents are dead because of Saika, which uses love to control its wielder. She controls an army of Saika 'children' (people who have been slashed or stabbed by Saika or one of its 'children').

AU history: Anri was born to a pureblood mother and muggleborn father in Japan, and grew up aware of magic. However, when she was barely a few years old her mother, who had mental issues induced by inbreeding, slaughtered Anri's father (using several Unforgivable curses and a ornamental katana) and then commited suicide in front of Anri. The trauma caused Anri to develop a second 'self' called Saika, a twisted and bloodthirsty version of herself who enjoys using the Imperius curse on people (wandlessly, though Anri herself does not actively use any magic). Saika and Anri can communicate with each other, though Anri rarely loses control and is able to repress Saika. The next few years of her life were spent as a quiet, intelligent, and mildly popular child at a normal school in Japan. She had one close friend, Mika Harima, who disappeared when Anri was ten. When her Hogwarts letter came, Anri wondered how she was supposed to get to London.
House: Probably Ravenclaw. Anri is clever, intelligent, and knowledgeable–aspects that Ravenclaws are supposed to possess. Saika, however, is probably more on the Slytherin side...
Magical Strengths and Weaknesses: Anri is above-average at everything, though not the best at anything in specific. Her favorite class is DADA, if only because she would like to know how to counter anything Saika might do.
Wand: Willow, 101/2 inches, kelpie hearstring.
Other: Anri's boggart would be herself losing control of Saika. Her Patronus is a small white cat.

"U-um, excuse me... could you direct me to the–" Anri quickly glanced from the person in front of her down to the neatly unfolded letter in her left hand. "King's Cross?"
Anri had arrived in London barely a week before, and had spent the better part of the week trying to figure out how and where to get her school books. When, finally, she had located the Leaky Cauldron and had had someone show her how to get through to Diagon Alley, she'd had to go through the time consuming process of accessing the accounts of her deceased parents at Gringotts. It had consumed over half of that day due to various tests of identity to verify that she truly had rights to the accounts.
The boy to whom she had posed the question gestured to his right, and began speaking rapidly. The station was a couple blocks down the road to her left, and would be hard to miss. Glancing in the direction of the station, Anri could almost make out one of the arches that made up the front of the station. The boy then finished his explanation, and made to walk away.
Straightening her posture, Anri gave a quick bow of thanks and rushed off, glasses slightly askew, dragging her large baggage behind her.
