Yellow walked out to the Quidditch field, hoping that Marshall would remember his promise. When she had told him about how scared she was of flying, he had promised to help her practice. She wasn't even sure where she could find a broom, but she knew that Marshall would help and he would probably bring along Charlotte's "prince;" Gumball.

Unlike almost everything else in his life, Marshall was actually early to this. Him helping a first year was almost a laughable thought, but it was flying. And, maybe he had taking a liking to the little first year. A student that actually trusted him. How outrageous. Completely absurd. But hey, he'd take what he could get. Besides. It was flying . And so; here he was. Waiting for that little first year to pop up... somewhere. So he could help her fly... Or something like that.

Yellow ran down the slight hill, her spirits lifting as she saw Marshall waiting. "Marshall! I thought you might forget!" Her smile was nearly blinding as she stopped right in front of him, tempted to give him a hug.

Marshall grinned, patting the first year on her head. "You really think I'd forget?" Actually, he almost did. That wasn't the point though. The point was, he was now down here at the Quidditch field, about to help an adorable little first year with her flying. Great.
"So, we can get started right away then, huh? Do you have a broom?" The first year had showed up empty handed... Right! First years weren't supposed to have broomsticks. Another rule he'd broken in his extensive stay at Hogwarts, but hey, who was actually keeping a list of every single rule he bro-- Barnaby. Nevermind.

"No. When we were learning the teacher, Professor Blackwell gave us brooms. But...he didn't let us keep them." She smiled, almost bouncing with excitement and nervousness, she was going to fly again! And this time she would have an expert helping her! "So...where do I find a broom? Can I use just any broom? Or does it have to be special?"

Marshall frowned. First years that followed the rules; what a disappointment. "They should be in the broom closet, shouldn't they?" He began walking over to the closet, quickly disarming the lock with a quiet "alohamora" spell, throwing the first broom he saw to the first year that was hopefully trailing behind him. "Any broom will work, though you may wanna get your own next year." He smiled, happy to actually be able to help a first year for once--Not that he never helped first years before. He had helped loads of them. They just... Weren't too happy about the help.

Yellow just about fell over as she tried to catch the broom that suddenly came flying at her head. She noticed the lock that had been on the door, and assumed that Marshall must be incredibly responsible because the teachers trusted him with the key! "Okay...but where would I get a broom?"

Marshall fiddled with the lock, making sure it clicked back into place. There! They'd never know that he had broken in... Maybe.
"There's this little broom shop in Hogsmeade, although the best is in Diagon Alley..." He trailed off, thinking aloud. She wouldn't be able to go to the shop in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade, she was too young to leave the school grounds... Stupid rule was meant to be broken anyway. "I'll take you next weekend just don't tell anyone" Rules were meant to be broken and he'd be damned if he graduated from Hogwarts without breaking all of them [got to keep up that reputation! He didn't need some little first year coming along and breaking his record. Not that that would happen-Just a passing thought.]
He marched back onto the field, already hopping on his broom, floating a couple of feet above the ground, waiting for Yellow. "Ready?" He grinned, leaning back, completely relaxed.

Yellow blinked. "A-Are you sure I'm allowed? I-I don't remember all the rules...but there were an awful lot of them...and I think professor Blackwell also had rules about brooms." She looked up at him fearfully, in reality stalling for time to avoid actual flight but she knew it was also important to follow the rules. Because as her uncle had always told her: If you follow the rules, you can't get into too much trouble. "I-I guess I'm ready to fly...."
