Dance Shopping

[Violet Parr]

Looking back and forth between the mask and costume, Violet smiled. This could work! She took both of them from her friends and slung the suit part over one arm. "Thanks you two. And I'll keep that in mind," she directed at Fionna. She was pretty sure she had a headband that would work with the costume. Turning now to Professor Katsuragi, she waited to see what she wanted.

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko wrung her hands and looked worriedly at her students. She wasn't quite sure how to get the point across and so, in her usual extremely blunt way, she murmured, "I'm going to the dance with Doyle, and I don't know what to wear!" She blushed, realizing she'd called him by his first name, which wasn't proper in front of students. "I mean... Professor Blackwell."

Isabela grinned. "Really? That's kinda cute Professor." She paused. Professor Katsuragi and Teach? That was kind of an opposites attract thing. The Charms Professor in front of her was shy, but laid-back and happy in the classroom. Teach was gruff, very adventurous, and much more tough than she thought Mimiko could ever be. She quickly began thinking over what would be appropriate for a Professor, but still look good.

[Fionna White]

Fionna grinned as well at her teacher's bluntness. "That's awesome!" She was happy for her teacher, even though she didn't know professor Blackwell that well. Like Isabela, she began to observe her frail teacher, and she knew this would be a tough task. "Ah, well... What do you like, professor?"

[Violet Parr]

"C-congratulations, Professor," Violet murmured. All she knew about Professor Blackwell was what she had seen in study hall; he hadn't been the professor when she was taking first year flying lessons, but she could tell that Professor Katsuragi really liked him. She began to look around the room, zeroing in on choices she thought would be good for the professor, but also waiting to hear what sort of costume she liked.

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko looked frantic. "I...I don't know. I want to pick something that will make me look nice, but appropriate.. but also something Doy-Professor Blackwell will like..." She was drawn more towards the costumes than the dresses, at least. "I'm pretty sure he'll wear a costume, so I definitely want one too." She began looking through the massive racks. They had EVERYTHING, from Sexy Kitten to Pirate Princess. How the heck could a pirate be a princess anyway?

[Isabela Rivaini]

Isabela thought. She knew Teach. He WAS the type of person to wear a costume... But what kind of costume for Mimiko. She'd obviously be very uncomfortable in the type of costume she had picked out, and also the type that Violet was in, probably.

"A costume that's like a dress... But also a costume. What about a masquerade outfit?" She turned to Violet and Fionna. "Does that count as a costume?"

[Fionna White]

Fiona thought on the suggestion for a moment, before slowly nodding. "Yeah, yeah!! I think that would be great! I'll go find a mask!" She took off then, into the mass of fabric and sparkles, in search of the perfect mask for her teacher.

She was excited for the entire event now; to hang out with her friends, dress up, have fun, and dance! She mostly was excited to see people's reaction when they saw her dressed up like a princess of all things. For those that didn't know her, they wouldn't care; but those who did would be shocked! Especially Marshall and Gumball.

As all these thoughts ran through her mind, she began to look at-and even try on-various masks for her professor.

"And I'll help with the dress part," Violet said, somewhat quietly. She was proud of herself for finding a good dress for Fionna and was confident she'd find a goos one for Professor Katsuragi. Taking a quick glance through the rack she added, "What sort of colors do you like?"

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

"Well, I like red. Not a vibrant red, but a deep one. Also orchid. But blue is my favorite color." She began searching alongside Violet. A masquerade dress was perfect, because it was both a dress and a costume!

[Isabela Rivaini]

Isabela announced she was going to find shoes. She still had to find her own accessories. She picked out black high heels for herself, that had red laces that would spin up her legs. She also grabbed a pair of fake vampire fangs. As far as shoes for the Professor went, she wasn't quite sure. She leanedback against a shelf and watched Violet, waiting to see what color she chose.

Let's see then... Violet pulled out an egg blue dress, but she thought it was probably too short a dress for the professor. Putting it back, she pulled out a deep crimson dress that seemed perfect...except for the slit that went all the way up to mid-thigh. She didn't even want to think of her professor in a dress like that. "Ah-ha!" This time, Violet pulled out an orchid colored, floor-length dress that would compliment the professor's figure. It even had a crimson colored trim along the bottom of the dress and the edges of the sleeves. She held it out for her. "I-is this ok?"

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko had thought the first two choices were ghastly, but at the third choice....

Mimiko's eyes lit up and she smiled. "It's beautiful!" She grabbed it and felt the fabric, which mimicked silk. "Let me try it on." She ran off to the changing rooms.

{{OCC: Can I just say that I hate the word "mimicked" in a Mimiko post. It just looks so dang similar. But I was having word-block on what else to use....}}

An orchid dress with red trim... Hmmm.... Isabela turned to the shoes, and was surprised to find a large amount of red or orchid shoes. But she thought it would be a little over the top if the Professor wore shoes that matched.

Then there was a pair of shoes that caught her eye. They were a beautiful silver, with a tie around the ankle that was a bow. She grabbed this pair in a couple different sizes and brought them back, waiting for Violet's opinion.

As her friends put together her professor's outfit, Fionna was having a lot of trouble. She had forgot to ask what colors were picked out, and so, she hoisted herself up off of the ground and onto a clothing rack. She looked over the clothes to her group, and spotted Mimiko's dress just in time for her to rush off to the changing rooms. "Alright!" Fionna hopped down, and continued searching. All the masks were mainly black, red, and blue. Perhaps a red would work? It would bring out the trim, I think... She honestly hadn't a clue if it would work, she was just guessing. She snatched up the solid red eye mask, adorned with long, shiny feathers, and rushed back to her friends, waving it. "Hey guys!! What do ya think of this one?"
