"Of course its not ok.............." said Kurogane meaning how weird it had been between them since it happened. "I shouldnt of done it while i was drunk," he said, then seemed to realise that he had pretty much said that he should of done it sober.
He shifted trying to get up again, but failed miserably, ending up sprawling on the floor close to Fai.

It surprised the Ravenclaw that he got some kind of answer, although his heart sank at the words. Of course its not ok. So many different meanings, yet Fai's mind came to the more likely; it wasn't ok....it wasn't right....it was abnormal and abhorrent....and of course, Kurogane wanted nothing to do with him after that. Why would he.
Fai kept his face turned away, knowing he wasn't able to keep up his usual facade right now. He was too tired from the dementors and what kurogane had said...or rather, Fai's interpretation of it had hurt more than he thought it would. He was so lost in his own thoughts and regrets that he missed Kurogane's slip at first. But dimly it started to register....he blinked and looked at Kurogane curiously. Another time he might have laughed and teased the Hufflepuff about his current situation and lack of strength, but he had something more pressing on his mind. Heart tripping oddly in his chest, he broached the subject cautiously ".....then....when should you have done it?"

"when i was sober and able to express..........." kurogane stopped realising what he was owning up to.
He cursed hiding his blushing face by rolling onto his side facing away from Fai, embaressed at actually more or less telling fai he liked him and that kissing when he was only a mistake because he hadnt been able to express himself properly.
He really wanted to get away just run out of the room and go hide from the embaressment in his bed where the ravenclaw couldnt follow.
But for now he made do with curling up hiding his face from the blonde, it was about all he could do at the moment.

fai tried not to get his hopes up, expecting to kuro to answer with 'never'. However, the answer he got was surprising. He blushed deeply, heart leaping...he watched kuro intently, then stood shakilly and moved to sit beside the young man.
"Well....you're sober now..." he pointed out shyly, though he stopped himself from reaching out like he wanted...he didn't want to push his luck. "Maybe you'd be able to better express yourself?"

Kurogane stayed silent hoping Fai might think he'd passed out or fallen asleep, staying as still as he could.
He lay there facing away from the blonde lost in thought. He'd pretty just admitted that he did like Fai more than in a friend way. What the hell had he been thinking.
Stupid, stupid, stupid, he mentally berated himself for being such and idiot and willed the ground to open and swallow him so he didnt have to face the blonde.

fai waited...and waited. He went from feeling like his heart was in his mouth, to feeling it slowly sinking. He started to loose hope "kurogane?" his voice was unsure and vulnerable despite how hard he was trying to hide it. He never let himself be vulnerable....it was typical, the only time he let his guard down and it was going to end in hurt. He gave it one last shot, reaching out hesitantly to place a hand on kuros shoulder.

Kuro jumped when he felt Fai's hand on his shoulder, which he wouldnt of done if he was asleep. He looked at the blonde tiredly, but remained silent.
What the hell was he supposed to say?

For a fleeting moment, there was hope in Fai's eyes as Kurogane looked at him....but it died quickly. He drew his hand back, looking away and trying to pull his usual mask back into place. He should have known better than to think he'd had a shot. Even if Kurogane liked him, what good would it do?
Fai refused to look at him now, standing and grabbing his bag. ".....Just...forget it." he muttered, defeted. Why had he ever thought that he'd stood a chance.....why did he let himself care, when he'd promised himself that he'd never let anyone close again? At least it had proven a point....he wouldn't let himself cross that line again. Never let anyone in, and you won't get hurt. "Goodbye, Kurogane."

Kurogane watched as the hope faded in his eyes, feeling his own heart twist as he saw Fai look so .... defeated. Kuro saw him grab his bag and turning to leave, hearing the goodbye.
He couldnt let it happen, he had to stop him. He stood seeming to manage the few steps. Turning Fai to face him,pressing his lips to the blonde's. He wanted to make him feel better, he needed to make him feel better. To make that defeated and lonely look disapear.

As he moved, Kurogane hadn't said a word....but Fai felt a hand on his shoulder as he made his way to the door, and he tensed. He was about to shrug the hand off when he was firmly turned around, finding Kurogane a lot closer than he would usually get. Fai thought perhaps he was going to get shouted at and was ready to run away, but Kuroganes face only drew closer and before Fai knew it, Kuroganes lips were on his own.
It took a moment to register (a very long moment in which Fai was sure his heart had stopped) but when realisation did click, Fai was glad to find his heart was pounding hard in his chest, embaressingly loud to his ears. His eyes slid closed without him meaning to....he was supposed to fight this, supposed to stick to his descision....but he found himself responding shyly to the press of Kuroganes lips.

Kuro pushed him back pinning him against one of the shelves, kissing him needily. Still gripping the blonde's arms.
The rest of the world melted away and all he knew was Fai and the shy kiss that the blonde returned. After a long while Kurogane pulled away breathless cheeks flushed looking Fai in the eyes.

fai felt his back hit the bookcase behind him, letting out a soft whimper against kuroganes lips. It didnt hurt, but it was a little surprising.....although it was soon forgotten as he got lost in the moment. It wasnt particularly graceful, neither of them skilled....but fai couldn't care less about that, to him it was perfect.
When kurogane pulled back, Fai was blushing and breathless too. He met kuro's gaze shyly, blue eyes half lidded and lips pink from the kiss. He couldn't form a sensible coherant sentance....instead he raised a slightly shakey hand and cupped kuroganes cheek, thumb gently stroking. He wanted the hufflepuff to know he was ok...and hopefully to stop him from getting freaked out and running away when fai didn't speak straight away.

kuro nuzzled the hand a little as he caught his breath, watching fai carefully but unable to think of anything to say to him after the passionate kiss.
kuro finally remembered where they were and stepped back a litle blushing lots.

As Kurogane nuzzled his hand a little, Fai felt butterflies in his stomach. Cheeks tinged pink, but breathing slowly going back to normal, the blonde was finding it a bit difficult to think straight. His mind was fuzzy, though in a good way...but when Kurogane stepped back a little, a spark of panic shot through him. His hand slipped to the hufflepuffs arm, gripping a little to stop him from bolting as he tried to force his mind to focus and think of something...anything, that would get the Hufflepuff to stay and talk. "I...um...t-that was...." Fai looked flustered, and it seemed that Kurogane was the only one who could make words fail him. He tried again "Y-you do...express yourself better when you're sober...." the slightly teasing lilt to his voice was back, though his eyes were genuinely warm and happy.

Kurogane blushed at fai teasing him, looking away from the blonde. Kuro noticed the way fai was clinging this arm, he looked at him wondering what would happen next.
He shifted a little uncomfortably "so what do we do now?"asked kuro.
