[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko smiled at the new addition. She knew he'd once gone to Beauxbatons like she had. "Not really. The doctor just thought it would be funny to offer dissecting my cat in class.

[Shinra Kishitani]

"You must admit, the students would probably benefit from it," Shinra laughed. Whether he was joking or not, he played along with what she said. "But it probably was something too shocking to say in front of gentle women like yourself."

He greeted the newcomer with a nod and an exuberant wave. He'd have called out his name, but he wasn't sure he could pronounce it...

[Doyle Blackwell]

Doyle Blackwell strolled into the staff room, his wand under his arm as he studied the several pages long paper in his hands. He flopped down into a chair, still absorbed in the complicated document. Lazily, he took the wand in one hand again, wordlessly summoned a bottle of water from his office, and sipped it as he read. Once he had finished the paragraph, he looked up to notice that he was not the only one in the Staff Room. Two men and two women looked to be in a lull of conversation. He rubbed the back of his head, standing up once more, and cleared his throat. "Oops, sorry, didn't notice you all there. I'm Doyle Blackwell, the new Flying Professor."

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko smiled. "Mimiko Katsuragi, the new Charms Professor." She stuck out her hand, then laughed. "I would normally say I'm charmed to meet you, but with the circumstances that just seems a bit obnoxious. However, I will say that I'm pleased to make your acquaintance."

[Doyle Blackwell]

Doyle looked the woman over. Clearly of Japanese descent, she reminded him of yet another country that never wanted to see his face on their Quidditch Teams again. Still, she was certainly cute, so he flashed her a grin and shook her hand. "Nonsense, Mimiko, the pleasure's all mine."

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

She paused. "Do you play professional Quidditch? I think I remember you from the the Japanese Quidditch team..." She thought. Had he quit or...? She could never remember.

[Doyle Blackwell]

He sighed. He should've known he'd be recognized, but he played it off and continued smiling at her. "Yeah, recognized me, huh? I played Beater for a season and a half over there."

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko smiled. "I thought so. I thought you were really good, until those higher-ups got you fired." She crossed her arms. "I used to be quite the fangirl back in my Beauxbatons days."

[Doyle Blackwell]

Am I really that old? Doyle thought to himself. He brushed it off. "Thanks, I'm glad I had such a lovely follower. But, I can't blame the higher-ups for my own ego. That's what really brought me down."

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko blushed. She wasn't used to getting compliments from many people, let alone people she'd adored during school. She distinctly remembered a Blackwell poster hanging in her dormitory that was the prize of her suite. "Thank you."

[Doyle Blackwell]

"No. Thank you," he replied. As far as he knew, he didn't have that many devoted fans left. It was nice to know at least one of them. "So, we're both on our first year of teaching here. How's it going so far for you?"

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko laughed. "Everything can be solved with sweets, I've learned. Students will do anything you say if you make cookies."

[Doyle Blackwell]

He laughed, quite amused. "Really now? Cookies? That could work, if I had any cooking skills to speak of."

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko laughed and gestured to one of the other teachers. "Obviously you've never spoken to Remy. 'Everyone can cook!'"

[Doyle Blackwell]

"Obviously he's never seen me try to boil water," Doyle replied, shooting a glance at the man Mimiko had pointed out to him. "Remy...sounds like a French name. Are there a lot of foreign professors here this year?"
