Charms {Gryffindors and Slytherns}

Class Rules

• No sleeping in class. Pay attention, students. This is necessary to curse that poor first year Gryffindor sitting next to you, Mr. Slytherin. And vice-versa, Gryffindor.
  
• Do not be late. Okay, so most of you probably will be, but try to be on time. We professors do get paid either way, but some of us enjoy teaching.
  
• Don't Curse in My Class. Save that for the hallways. Or other classrooms. Just don't tell them I taught it to you.
  

Mimiko fidgeted the items on her desk for the third time. Her room was plain, as it was rather hard to redecorate after the last owner, who had bookshelves that reached up to the ceilings, and tiered, choir class-like seating. She'd tried to fill up the shelves with as many books as she could, but even with moving in her entire collection she still only filled in about 50%. She'd decorated the rest of the empty places with photos from all over the world, some moving and some not. She'd also livened up the interior with some plants, and had replaced all of the chairs with pillows. At least for the first class.
She had a tray of cookies out, one for each student, as an icebreaker. Also, as their first lesson. The cookies were stacked far out of reach on a platter on top of the highest bookshelf. Only with the proper charm could any student wish to reach them.

Mimiko began to hum under her breath as she arranged her selection of quills for the third time, keeping an eye on the open door as she did so.

Amitola strolled in, rather lazily. It barely took her two seconds to notice that the room was full of pillows.
"Cool! Pillows! Nap Time!"
With that, she crashed to the floor and curled up on one of the pillows.

Mimiko was startled by the student, and not just because of her loud claiming of the pillows around her space. Her hair was just...well... loud. It was so classically Japanese anime, Mimiko was reminded of home. Also, people's appearances spoke volumes, Mimiko had learned. Loud people have loud hair, and so have to be taught the "inside voice".
"Excuse me Ms." She started. "Those pillows are for sitting, not sleeping." She pointed to her rule chart.

[Jim Hawkins]

Jim lazily strolled into the room; he wasn’t quite sure how he’d feel about this class, already he knew that Slytherns and Gryffindors didn’t get along. At all. Which would be a disaster to put them in the same class together. But then again, he had never met a Slythern before, so who was he to judge? He Saw the classroom was full of pillows and had to do a double-take. Am I in the right class? This looks like Kindergarden! He thought to himself. He wasn’t quite sure what to think until he saw Amitola curled up on the pillows on the floor. I guess I am in the right class… but what a weird setup. He hesitantly took a seat in a Pillow near his fellow Gryffindor; He would have much rather had a chair…

[Shion Sonozaki]

"Good morning!" cheered a happy little voice, as Shion casually strolled into her new classroom, backpack on her shoulder and a smile on her face. Her teal eyes flicked about the room, taking in the people, not so much anything else; until she noticed the pillows. "Oh, pillows! Great; those old chairs kill my back." She placed herself on a pillow next to the girl with obnoxiously bright hair-not that she should really call it that, for her own was a bright shade of green,- and crossed her long legs over one another, getting comfortable in her seat.

Mimiko smiled at the4 other students, another Gryffindor and a Slytherin. Did a lot of people have anime-styled hair? She'd never been into strange colors herself, but a lot of people, apparently, adored bleaching and coloring their hair funky ways.
"Hello, I'm Professor Katsuragi. This is Charms class, so hopefully you're all in the right place. I'd like to know your names before class starts." She looked at the student that was still asleep. "Could you wake up Ms.?" She asked, lightly shaking the girl's shoulder. Surely no one could fall asleep that quickly.

[Shion Sonozaki]

Shion looked to the sleeping girl beside her as the teacher shook her, and smiled in a slightly devious manner. I know of a good way to wake her up, but I'll be damned if I get removed from this school before I've even started... She then turned her attention to the teacher, and gave her a genuine grin. "My name is Shion, Shion Sonozaki."

Mimiko blinked. "Are you Japanese?" Wow. That probably sounded extremely judgmental and probably racist. "I...I only ask because I...I taught in Japan for a while. I was born there." She fumbled over her words, hoping she hadn't offended the students. Looking down at the rainbow-haired girl, she decided to leave her there. If she was asleep the whole time, she simply wouldn't get any handmade cookies.

Shion beamed, and nodded her head vigorously. "I am, I am! I was born there too, but moved to America to go to the Salem Witches Institute, and from there came here. I'm so glad I'm not the only one from Japan here." She giggled, tucking her legs under her small form. Her eyes then wandered over to the quiet, angsty Gryffindor boy.

Why is he so quiet? Strange kid... She looked to the rainbow-haired child, First years, I suspect. Fresh meat. They better show me the proper respect...

She smiled to the boy, should he look, before gazing back up at the teacher. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

[Jim Hawkins]

A green haired girl walked into the room. Man, this school is filled with technicolored hair. He said to himself; eying the sleeping Amitola and the Slytherin. He listened to the conversation between the girl, Shion, as she introduced herself, and the teacher for a little. She doesn’t seem like an awful person, as other Gryffindors say Slytherins are like… Jim thought. He caught sight of the girl smiling at him out of the corner of his eye, but pretended he didn’t see it and decided to introduce himself as well. “I’m Jim Hawkins.” he said casually waving one of his hands. “If you want to wake up Amitola, here, I would just suggest throwing a cat on her head. It will work wonders.” he said with a mischievous grin.

[Masaomi Kida]

It was then that Masaomi decided to stroll through the door into the classroom, picking up what Jim had said as he entered the room. "Oi, oi, you better not be planning to use Linda~" He chided merrily making his way over to Jim.

"I suggest trying to wake her up with a more gentle approach, as a lady....deserves...." His voice started out chipper but began to fade off when he noticed the seating. Pillows. He stared at them for a moment before remembering where he was, quickly shaking the thought out of his head and plopping himself down next to Jim. Nah....I'm overthinking it.

He glanced around the room to see who else was there and spotted a girl with the most lovely shade of green hair he had ever seen, chatting away with the teacher, her back to his obscurring his view of the teachers face. He quickly made a mental note to talk to her later.

As she was awaiting to hear more from the teacher, another voice rang out in the room. She turned her head, looking over her shoulder at the blonde haired boy. Her eyes widened.

Satoshi? Her face lit up in joy; the boy resembled her former love-blonde hair, brown eyes, thin stature-but it clearly was not him. Her heart fell, and with a saddened smile to the boy, she faced the teacher once more.

Jim chuckled, not quite expecting Masaomi to walk in at that exact second. “Of course not your cat, it’s been through enough. Just any generic Cat will do.” He replied, “But this girl’s reckless enough that I wouldn’t classify her as a lady…” It was mean, and he knew it, but he sure was glad she was asleep, otherwise he’d be in the hospital wing in a matter of seconds. He might be rude to girls sometimes, but Jim would never hit a girl, allowing any girl to beat him up in a fight.

Mimiko looked up from the green haired girl, pleased that she was actually Japanese. She looked at the two Gryffindors, and gasped at the newest one.
"Kida Masaomi?" Kida had been one of her students from her old teaching position in Japan. She'd known he'd been transferring, but not to Hogwarts.

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris walked in, noticing Amitola and vowing to sit as far away as possible. He chose a pillow in the farest corner of the room, and sat. He pulled a small notepad from his messanger bag, and a quill that matched its sleek blackness. He began to write in it, quickly and with great emotion towards whatever he was writing.
