Charms {Gryffindors and Slytherns}

[Shion Sonozaki]

Shion shot a dirty look to Jim, "That's such a mean thing to say!" She crossed her arms and huffed, looking to the sleeping girl. "She's a lady, just a tired one.."

As the teacher mentioned the blonde boy's name, she sighed; any sliver of hope was gone now. But as yet another person entered the room, she glanced at him briefly. More boys than girls in this class, it seems. Isn't that just great? She rolled her eyes behind their lids, and propped her chin in the palm of her hand.

[Mimiko Katsuragi]

Mimiko thought for a second. A cat? Was the rainbow-haired girl afraid of cats? If she was, Mimiko should probably find her cat...
At that moment, as if he knew that he was being looked for, the cat in question jumped from a shelf and onto the girl's head. He curled up, settling deep into her rainbow hair.
"Sir-Pounce-A-Lot! No!" But it was too late. The little grey tabby had chosen his perch, and wasn't planning on moving.

When the girls expression turned sad looking at him, Masaomi became confused. It was simply unacceptable! A face as lovely as hers should be smiling, and he certainly couldn't accept himself as the cause for such a depressing expression. Standing up, he became determined to approach her and cheer her up when-

"Kida Masaomi?"

Masaomi turned his head to the one who had called out his name and his eyes grew wide. No. No, no, no, no, no. "Katsuragi-sensei....?" He said in a voice that was barely above a whisper. He continued to stare, and stare, and stare, his face looking very much like a dear caught in the headlights.

Mimiko was distracted slightly from her cat, and turned to Masaomi Kida. "Konnichiwa! It's so nice to see a familiar face!"

[Shion Sonozaki]

Shion looked from the boy to her teacher, a small smile upon her face. "I take it you two know each other?" She glanced at the boy, "So, you're from Japan as well? That's great!"

[Masaomi Kida]

".........Yeah," He replied, still staring at Ms. Kutsuragi.

Realizing he was still standing up, he quickly sat back down and stared intently at his desk, wanting very much out of the conversation. Why was she here? Dammit why? If any of the people he was starting to make friends with, or anyone else, found out that he had been expelled from his old school, he didn't know what he would do. Hogwarts was his fresh start. A clean slate. Not somewhere he wanted to run into anyone else he knew before.

Mimiko noticed that Kida was uncomfortable. Then she remembered: He HADN'T transferred. He'd been expelled. For what, she couldn't remember, but she made a mental promise to him that she would keep his secret.
Walking to the door, she closed it quietly. "So, class..." She counted heads quickly. "This isn't all of you, but a few stragglers won't be too much of a nuisance. It'll just take them longer to get today's prize."
She stood underneath the shelf with the plate of cookies on top. "Cookies!"

[Shion Sonozaki]

Shion clapped her hands once, softly, in excitement. “Ooo, sweets! I like this class already!” Feeling like the only enthusiastic one, however, Shion’s hand quickly fell, and she leaned back on her elbows, slightly embarrassed.

[Masaomi Kida]

"Heheh, yeah." Masaomi replied with a forced smirk, trying to perk himself up. Man, he'd definitely need a tylenol after this.

He smiled a bit more naturally at the green haired girl in an effort to appear more cheerful and finally ended up speaking to her. "I'm sure they'll be to the liking of a fine, elegant lady such as yourself~ If I remember correctly Katsuragi-sensei's cookies are heavenly~☆" He stated charmingly with an added wink in her direction.

[Shion Sonozaki]

Shion grinned and giggled at the boy. “Me? Fine, elegant? You’re such a charmer.” She sent a wink of her own in his direction.

However, your looks are deceiving, she thought, still slightly hurt from her own false hope. Her obsession with Satoshi never died, and probably never will, but maybe hanging out with this boy will help me feel closer to him…

“My name is Shion, in case you didn’t catch it earlier. And your name is… Masaomi?"

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris was pretty much ignorant of the conversation between Shion and Kida. Kida was an... aquaintence, and he was just making more friends. Fenris was more preoccupied with the cat, Sir-Pounce-A-Lot the teacher had called it, sitting on Amitola's head. From the rumors he'd heard of her and cats... This was going to be a very fun class.

Mimiko noticed that Masaomi and Shion were hitting it off, and she was quite happy. The two different houses she'd chosen to teach were already getting along. She felt like clapping her hands. She also noticed that even the other Slytherin, the skulking boy in the corner with the silver hair, had looked up from his notebook. Everything was going smoothly, except for the girl sleeping in the corner. But, no matter. Mimiko wouldn't let one inattentive student ruin the class for all the other ones!
She put on her best smile and pointed to the cookies far above her head. "Today, you will learn to get this plate down from atop this shelf. But in order to do it, you'll have to be very careful, and very confidant in your powers. Can everyone please take out your wands?" She took out her own, holding it in her left hand.

[Fenris Candor]

Fenris didn't even give the Professor a sideways glance. Why had he signed up for Charms, when he couldn't even use spells? He couldn't quite remember. Some counselor had probably told him to sign up or something. Ah well. He certainly wasn't going to work on any charms, not even if someone's life depended on it.

[Jim Hawkins]

Jim was kind of concerned at what would happen to Amitola when she did finally wake up; after all, Sir Pouce-A-Lot was still on her head. Must be a heavy sleeper, he said to him self, Oh well, we’ll worry about that when the time comes. He heard the teacher say that they were going to use their wands. This would be the first time he would ever try out magic. “Cool.” Jim said confidently as he pulled his wand out. ready to try his first spell.

"B-I-N-G-O-☆! I'm honored to see you've remembered~ Kida Masaomi at your service~" He grinned at her and gave a slight bow. He gave a side glance to the teacher. She hadn't seemed to remember what had happened, or if she did she was at least keeping quiet. Masaomi thanked his lucky stars, they seemed to be on his side for a change. He still couldn't get rid of the feeling of unease though.

When she started to begin the class, Masaomi followed her instruction and pulled out his wand.
