Violet quietly opened the door into the Great Hall just far enough for her to slip through. She didn't want to cause a big scene by entering, and she especially didn't want to have to stand in front of the whole room while the professor berated her for being late. Could you even be late for study hall? She walked quietly towards an empty desk, but on the way, she spotted Anri from Astronomy. Debating for a moment, she decided to go over and talk to her. Start a conversation, that couldn't be so hard, right? Approaching the Ravenclaw, she clutched her books to her chest and fidgeted with her hair again. "Um, h-hi Anri." She hoped she had been loud enough.

Jim was a little bit shocked when Yellow suddenly released his hands and reached into her back pack for something. He thought that one of his internal organs had melted for a second. “N-n-no, you were fine… I mean, it’s okay… you could… I’m… uh, I’ts cool.” He was still stumbling over his words and not making sentences. How long was this thing gonna last? Maybe he should go to the hospital wing… What was Yellow getting, anyways?

Hearing a voice stutter a greeting to her, Anri looked around and spotted a fidgeting Violet. Scooting over slightly, she gestured to the open space on the bench.
"Isabela, Shion-senpai, this is Violet."

To Isabela's words, Shion simply looked away. It wasn't a 'who's lonelier' competition, after all. Shion looked up at the new soft-spoken girl, and smiled, holding out a hand. "Nice to meet you, Violet. I'm Shion Sonozaki."

Violet looked at Anri's two friends. Compared to the other girl, they seemed pretty intimidating. She stared at Shion's hand for a moment, but finally reached out her own and shook it. "N-nice to meet you, too, Shion." Then she quickly dropped the hand and went back to clutching her books.

Seeing that Violet had yet to sit down, Anri tugged slightly at the girl's robes, pulling her onto the bench. "What classes are you studying for?" she asked quietly.

Realizing Anri was very insistent on her sitting with them, Violet sat down on the bench next to the girl. She put her books on the table as she replied, "Oh, um, Charms...I'm not really that good at it..." her voice trailed off at the end of the sentence, embarrassed that as a witch she was bad at casting spells.

She suddenly leaned back and looked at her bag. She couldn't remember why she had gone rooting through it, in fact, she didn't even hear Jim speak because she was also turning very red, until even her ears were burning in a crimson color. "Oh...ummm...sorry...I didn't hear...Uh...did you say something?"

Isabela nodded after Anri's comment about being friends. After all, all of hers had graduated. When the new girl was introduced, and admitted she had problems in Charms, Isabela smiled. "I could help ya Violet! I mean, I'm really good at Charms." She gave her a sincere smile, which was really hard to muster for her. Normally she was the sarcastic.

As Shion opened her mouth to say something, Isabela took the words right away from her. With a soft sigh, her smile returned, and she looked at Violet. "I could, too. That's my specialty." She wasn't trying to be rude to Isabela, it was the truth. Charms were her strongest point.

Isabela would've have normally opened her mouth to shoot back a comment, but she knew this wasn't a popularity contest. If it was, Shion would win. She knew more of the younger kids. And so Isabela nodded.
"Whoever you think is best Violet." She absentmindedly highlighted a passage from her book. She hoped, eventually, she'd know everyone in this room. She would have to make it her personal mission. She tossed her hair back and continued highlighting.

"Oh, well, it's not so much that I'm bad at it; I just don't like it. So when I have to cast a spell, it doesn't turn out so well." She brushed her hair behind an ear, but continued staring at her books, afraid to meet her new friends' eyes.

"I'm not exceptional at Charms or anything, but I could help you too if you'd like." Anri offered. She got the feeling that Violet would feel more comfortable if someone she knew was there.

Fionna casually walked into the big room, as she normally would, with Cake resting on her shoulders. She patted the cat on the head, and stopped to look around the room for a friend. "Whadya think, Cake? Who should we sit with?" The cat in question jumped from Fionna's shoulder, and began to prowl around the room, with Fionna's close behind.

Hearing the familiar voice, Gumball looked round and found her across the room. "Fionna!" he waved the younger girl down. She looked a bit lost, and he'd almost finished his homework, so maybe he'd be able to help her with hers? It wouldn't be the first time he'd tutored her in a subject.
