Oh. Well apparently he was not only the first one to go up, but the only one. Now that was a little more awkward. He fidgeted at the front of the classroom and hoped his classmates would join him.

Shion nodded to the teacher and stood, walking up behind Anri as she made her way to the front. She smiled at Gumball, before looking at the crystal ball.

The crystal ball was going to change? Big whoop... Although, okay, maybe it was kinda interesting. And it wasn't like anyone else was going to remain sitting... Okay; fine. Marshall got up, strolling to the front of the class where everyone else had gathered to look at the crystal ball. Marshall looked through the throng of students, propping his elbows up, resting them on some random kid. Wasn't she at the party? Anri was it? Hope she doesn't mind [not likely, but whatever]. At the moment, it was only a regular crystal ball [since when are there regular crystal balls? ... Nevermind], nothing had changed.

Rosalina looked around, it seemed that everyone was close enough now to experience what she was about to do. She pointed her wand at the wall, “Portus” she said calmly. Suddenly, the wall turned into a bright light, not as bright as her lumos earlier, but nonetheless, it was bright.
She pointed her wand at the orb and flicked it causing it to light up as well. She then placed the glowing sphere on her desk. Turning to her students, she smiled. “Follow me.” She walked through the wall of light, until no one could see her.
Yes, causing a Portal that will take us into the Crystal Ball and allow us to float around carefree will be a much more enriching activity than just lighting it up and letting them find it. She said to herself as she continued to stroll through the large beam of light. Plus, this way they can try and fly around through an imaginary space and not just point it out on a ball. She wished her teachers had thought of something like this...

Cautious at first, she shuffled through the bright wall of light. What awaited her on the other side was inky blackness, and then specks of light dotting the space around her. Stepping forward through nothingness, Anri felt as if she was less significant than a clothespin. Tiny and pointless in comparison to the endless reaches of the universe. "This is amazing," she murmured, "spectacular."

Shion followed after Anri silently, giggling a little at how she seemed to ignore Marshall's leaning. She stepped through the portal cautiously, almost afraid to go, but the view drew her in all the way. Mouth agape, she looked out into the vast area filled with stars. She could practically feel them reflecting their beautiful shine in her eyes as she watched them.

Gumball stared at the wall of light apprehensively. It was a portal, one that they didn't know what was on the other side of it. How could everyone else walk through it so casually? N-not that he was freaked out or anything...he glanced around. At this point, it was only he and a few kids left. He was going to have to walk through it sooner or later, so he might as well get ready for it. He squared his shoulders and stepped forward.

Shion was standing just on the other side of the portal, and so she stepped aside to let the others through. However, when Gumball entered, she smiled sweetly at him. She gave him a moment to take it all in, before she took a few steps to stand beside him. She turned her eyes back to the beautiful stars. "It's magnificent, isn't it?" She spoke softly, so as to not ruin the wonder for others.

Rosalina saw the looks on a few of her students faces and smiled to herself. Yes! Maybe I’m getting them excited now! She would wait for all of her students to build up enough courage to step in before she would explain exactly what had just happened. “Are you enjoying the view from here?” Of course, they were just in a large-scale version of the glass ball, which only consisted of the milky way galaxy. Oh look! there’s Neptune! the tiny planet was about as big as her fist was. She looked at her students again and noticed that they were standing perfectly still in mid-air, they must not have realized that they were floating yet. Well, eventually they would!

With his armrest gone, Marshall had no choice but to step forward into the light. Don't they tell you not to go into the light? He chuckled at his own [bad] joke, but his breath caught when he saw where he was. Standing in space [well, kind of.], the view was spectacular. There were stars everywhere, even if they were just pinpricks off in the distance, and planets spotted his view. They weren't that big, but when else had he seen Neptune?

He nodded back at her with a small smile, not wanting to talk and disturb the teacher, who had just started lecturing. This was interesting and all, but he was really trying to take his mind off the fact that they were floating.

Fai started paying attention to class when another bright light seemed to flare up and light up the classroom. He raised an eyebrow, watching everyone else go through what was apparently a portal. Hmmm....it was only the start of the year, he supposed he couldnt bunk off of classes yet. Ashura would be annoyed....and so he stood and followed the others. He shoved his arm through hesitantly, waving it around as though to check he really could go through, and nothing was going to happen if he followed....then he poked his head through, looking around curiously. Huh, pretty.
Finally, Fai stepped through the portal properly, joining the rest of the class in the makeshift 'space' room.

At his smile, Shion's heart fluttered a bit. She quickly looked away to Anri. "This is so pretty!" She whispered to her friend. She then looked at Marshall, and snickered. "It even shut him up." She pointed at the Slytherin boy.

“I’m glad you all like it! Well, if you haven’t noticed yet, we are all floating, yes, Floating, as in you can fly on your own for the next few minutes, in the glass crystal orb that I was holding just moments ago. If you all remember correctly, I said that whoever found Polaris first would get a nice surprise, and by find, I mean go and touch it before anyone else. So, finding it from here will not be easy, considering that this glass ball contains all the stars and other constellations in the entire milky way galaxy and that we are in an entirely different location than from Earth, so the view would be skewed tremendously.” She paused for a little bit to let them think. “I’ll leave it up to you to find it. Good luck! and remember to avoid asteroid fields!” She smiled and then pointed out in a random direction “Go!”

Despite a voice in the back of her mind telling her that it wasn't the real night sky, she couldn't help but feel amazed. "This is so pretty!" Shion whispered to her. "Un..." Anri assented in reply, "dazzling."
She heard Shion snicker, and turned to look at Marshall, whom Shion was pointing at. He looked awestruck.
"No matter how far magic and technology progress, they'll never be able to change this, will they?" Anri mused. The mysteries of the universe might never be solved, but the mystery was a good thing.
(ooc; *coughcough42coughcough*)
Hearing the teacher tell them to go find Polaris, Anri wandered off in the general direction of up.
