Rosalina had set up the room in the top of the tower to her liking. The desks were placed around her desk in a semicircle, with a telescope placed next to each desk, pointing directly towards the north star. Next to her own desk was the cherished telescope that her father had given her a long time ago. She had placed banners of stars and constellations around the room bordered with a light blue color. On every desk sat a lamp, after all, this class had to take place at midnight for the stars to be in the perfect positions, so they would need some sort of light.
Rosalina hummed softly to herself as she wrote down little notes for her first day of teaching. She was excited about starting class, especially since the first night the sky was cloudless. She felt warm inside and couldn’t wait to share her knowledge with her students.
Glancing around her room one final time to make sure everything was in place, she nodded happily to herself. Everything is in place, and everything seems to be just how I envisioned it. I couldn’t ask for a better way to start the year. She turned around to face her special telescope and peered through it to see the soft, beautiful glow of the North star.

Gumball made his way up the stairs to the top of the tower. He'd left early for class for one reason only; there were a lot of stairs. He wasn't sure how long he had to go to the top, but once again he came to a stop, breathing hard. He wasn't that out of shape. It was just a combination of all that studying, along with his taste for sweets that was making this a difficult task. After a few seconds of trying to control his breathing he continued on.
A few minutes later, he turned the corner to emerge into a classroom. It was quite well decorated up here, despite the walls being plain stone. The desk arrangement and wall hangings had obviously been done by someone with an eye for design. He glanced around the room, looking for the person who-- Oh. And there she was. Eye to the telescope and back to the room, the teacher was wearing a long evening gown. She looks like a princess, he thought involuntarily, before scolding himself for such an idea. Not wanting to disturb her, he quietly entered the room and chose one of the desks to sit at.

Not very long after Gumball had arrived, the unmistakable clicking of Shion’s heels sounded up the stairwell. Once she reached the top, she slumped against the wall, panting. “Oh man, so many stairs!” she whimpered, before making her way fully into the classroom. Spotting Gumball, she grinned and waved. “Hey!"

Rosalina heard a voice come from the back of the classroom. She gracefully turned up from the telescope toward the sound to discover two students who were obviously out of breath getting situated in her class room. “Welcome!” She said soothingly, “I am your Astronomy teacher, you may call me Rosalina.” she smilled warmly.

"Er, it's good to meet you, Professor Rosalina." He wasn't quite comfortable calling a professor by just her first name, but if she preferred it to her last he was at least going to hold on to the title. "And hello, Shion! You're in this class too?" He was glad to have a friend to share the class with. He pulled a sheaf of parchment from his bag (which was not a manpurse thank you very much) and set it on the table, turning to a clean page.

Flying would have been so much easier... Marshall made his way up the stairs. Why were there so many? And wasn't this school magical? Couldn't they just like... Woosh away all the stairs? Make the trip only two steps long? And then you'd be up in the tower? Was that too much to ask for?
By taking his time coming up the stairs, the sixth year had a lot of time to think... Not a good thing. Actually, there wasn't much to think about. I mean, there was plenty he thought about! Totally. Just... You can only think of so many things before you run out of ideas. Eventually, he arrived at the top. This class better be worth the stairs. Marshall plopped into a seat in the back [no way he was going to sit in the front], trying not to show his exhaustion. Not that he was. Just... Showing how not exhausted he was. That was it.

Shion smiled at her new teacher, “It’s a pleasure, I’m Shion.” She then strolled over to the seat next to Gumball. “I am indeed in this class. How’d you guess?” she giggled, "May I sit here?” She didn’t wait for an answer, she simply placed her books on the table and took a seat.

Anri had never had a reason to go to the astronomy tower before, so she had been forced to follow behind a housemate, Gumball, whom she had suspected might be going to Astronomy as well considering the late hour. She'd half expected him to turn and speak to her at some point during the journey, but he had not seemed to notice her. As they entered the classroom after climbing a rather lengthy set of stairs, Anri lingered at the doorway for a moment as Gumball made his way to a desk.
The room had a serene, almost dreamlike feel. The soft blues on the walls coupled with the quietly glowing lamps made a peaceful atmosphere, and the stargazing teacher emphasized the silent beauty of it all. Almost unwilling to make noise, she headed towards one of the desks near the edge.
More students arrived, and she watched as the teacher turned and greeted them.

"Of course you can." He was pleased to have someone to discuss this class with. In fact, such a ladylike teacher, Shion in his class...this was shaping up to be a wonderful experience. Now if only Marshall had decided to drop this class instead of continue, and this would be perfect. He couldn't help but be distracted by the noisy Slytherin.

Shion hadn’t noticed Marshall slip in, which was really the only thing that kept her from asking her fellow Slytherin to come sit with her and Gumball. She opened up her notebook, quickly scanning over her writings from study hall, to a blank page.

Looking around, Anri noticed a couple of other students had pulled out paper. Unsure whether or not she had missed an instruction, she pulled out a few blank sheets just in case.

“Hello, to you too!” Rosalina said towards Anri and Marshall. She hadn’t seen them slip in, perhaps because they weren’t breathing nearly as hard as the other two who had practically staggered in… well, not so much for Marshall, but his breathing was at least a little better. “I apologize for having this classroom so high up this tower, but this happens to be the best place in the whole school to see the stars, and on top of that it gives you great exercise every time you come up here!”

Settling down in his seat, Marshall dumped his bag on the ground. This class was really a waste of time, nothing important. Well... It seemed the perfect time to nap. Wonderful idea, Marshall! Why thank you, Marshall, if I do say so my-- okay, this was getting creepy. He settled back in his seat, already resting his head on the table, not bothering to get a quill or paper out. The students in the front of the class could cover for him or something.

Oh. Well never mind; apparently that troublemaker was in this class. At least he wasn't annoying him.
To distract himself from this thought, he greeted Anri. He'd seen her around before, and had always thought she seemed like a quiet, polite person. "Hi! Anri, yes?" He confirmed.

"Ah, yes." she replied to Gumball, blushing slightly from the sudden attention. "You're...Barnaby Gumball, right?"
