"Who says you.....hiccup... get to tell me when i have to stop drinking," he said taking a large sip of the new drink. "Your not my mom.........." Kurogane realised what he'd said and looked away. Before taking the drink and pretty much downing it. He wobbled in his chair, eyeing Fai's drink.

Fai winced at Kuro's words....and it seemed Kurogane realised what he'd said too. Fai bit his lip a little, seeing his friend down the drink and eye the blondes bottle too. Fai pushed it over to him - he hadn't even started it yet, and there wasn't really much alcohol in it anyway....but he couldn't blame Kurogane for wanting it. Still, the young man was wobbling, and Fai knew he would have to get him back to the castle soon, or face the possibility of having to explain to teachers just why Kurogane ended up in hospital with alcohol poisoning.
"No...." he said softly "....but i'm your friend, and i don't want to see you make yourself sick. Which is what will happen, if you get too drunk."

Kurogane accepted the bottle taking a swig, the listened to Fai give him the 'I'm your friend and you shouldn't get drunk' talk.
"Maybe....." was all he replied with, he sat back in his chair staring at the bottle.

Perhaps this had been a bad idea. Fai had thought that getting out of Hogwarts for a bit would at least ease a little of the pressure on Kurogane, and giving him drink was supposed to help him calm down and not have to think....however getting him wasted wasn't actually the intention. Fai sat, tense but trying not to show it, keeping tabs on Kurogane from the corner of his eye.
He got the feeling that he was making things worse...that was what he did, wasn't it....when he tried to help, he was cursed to simply make the situation worse. There was a slight sad look to his eyes, but he kept the mask up and in place...he could be depressed later.

Kurogane sat silently for a while, after finishing his own drink and Fai's drink he stood up on wobbly legs. Heading for the door in a zig zagging pattern because he was drunk. He needed some air finally making it to the door he stepped out taking a deep breath of the fresh air.
His mind wandered to his parents again, the emotions rushed to the surface it felt like someone had punched him in the stomach. He hurriedly wobbled to the boat. Sinking down onto the sand that the boat was resting on close to the waters edge. They had left the boat at the very edge of the docks. No one would venture this far out.

Fai toyed idly with one of the paper coasters on the table since Kurogane was silent and back to being depressed. He held back a sigh. Once Kurogane had finished the drink in his hand, Fai was going to suggest they go back; he'd make some excuse about having homework to do, or that they didn't want to be caught out of bed after curfew right at the start of the term, but really he was worried that Kurogane was going to try to drink himself into oblivion. It seemed that he didn't have to think of an excuse, before Fai realised it, the raven haired young man was standing and heading to the door (...well, meandering).
Fai bit his lip and watched as he made it to the door...he stood up and made to follow him, but the barmaid pulled him to one side and warned him that if there was trouble because someone found out Kurogane had been drinking here, she would bar them both for life, and then she threatened a few hexes to boot. Fai made a few hasty promises, then practically ran out to see if he could find the Hufflepuff. He glanced down the road, but doubted that he had gone further into the village....instead he followed his instinct and hurried to the docks.
His instincts prooved right. His heart went out to the figure now knealt in the sand, shoulders slumped in what Fai assumed was both the effects of grief and the drink. He stepped closer, hesitant now "....Kuro-sama..." he sounded genuinely worried, though there was a slight note of sadness...he did hate seeing his friend like this.

Kurogane didn't answer just stayed where he was head bowed, letting the tears fall.
He calmed after a while lifting his head up staring out over the dark waters, he glanced up at Fai for a while. "Can we head back now?" he said just wanting to curl up in his bed.

Fai remained silent, though he slowly moved closer in case Kurogane passed out or something. Finally, the young man asked to go back, and Fai nodded. Back to the castle was a good plan...so long as no one saw them out this late, especially given the state Kurogane was in. He placed a gentle hand on the Hufflepuffs shoulder, giving a light reassuring squeeze before he went to climb into the boat, holding the rope to try to keep it steady. ".....Do you need a hand getting in?" he asked, a bit worried that his friend would stumble and fall face first into the lake.

Kuro shook his head stepping forward to join him in the boat, he was a bit wobbly on his feet and ended up tackling Fai. Landing on top of him in a tangle of limbs.
Kurogane looked down at him staring at Fai now pinned helplessly under him, he felt his cheecks flush but he couldn't help but lean down and press his lips against the Blonde's.

Fai watched worriedly as Kurogane staggered forward and tried to get into the boat. He kept a tight hold of the rope, keeping the boat steady as much as possible in hopes that it wouldn't wobble when the already unsteady Hufflepuff got in. He watched him climb in, then everything seemed to happen fast...Kurogane landed on him, hard, and they were sprawled together in the tiny boat, him pinned underneath. He let out a slightly pained and startled yelp, the boat bobbing precariously from the impact. When Fai looked up at Kurogane, seeing the flushed cheeks, and realising just how close they were, his heart tripped a little. He was trying to convince himself it was just the alcohol that was making Kurogane look all flustered, but then Kuroganes face got closer, and their lips met.
Fai's eyes widened, his own cheeks burning red. His hands came up to Kurogane chest, wanting to push him off, but his body betrayed him, fingers gripping the shirt a little as he enjoyed the moment. Even though deep down beneath the shock and the pleasure he knew it was alcohol, anger and grief fueled, and there was no way Kurogane was in his right mind at the moment.

Kurogane's already flustered cheecks got redder when Fai responded to the kiss, different emotions rushed to the surface than the ones that had seemed to dominate him recently. Gripping the blonde's shirt he kept the kiss going.
After a long moment he pulled back sitting up to catch his breath looking down at the mage beneath him.

fai couldnt hold back a slight whimper, lips moving against kuroganes a little shyly.
When the hufflepuff pulled back, fai blushed even more. He looked flustered and surprised, breathing a little uneven from the shock and the confusing emotional urges. He fought back the need to flee, instead distancing himself emotionally by trying to make light of it, laughing softly to hide his nervousness "i think you had far too much to drink, kurosama...."

Kuro blushed suddenly feeling a little more sober, he turned away from the blonde hiding the blush.
"Maybe i have..." said Kuro a little confused by the new emotions that surfaced. "lets hurry up and get back," he said wanting to get away from the blonde.

inwardly fai winced at kuroganes sudden urgency to get back, and how the hufflepuff wouldnt even look at him. He stepped back from the feelings, he shouldn't feel disappointed but relieved...and he didn't want to inspect those feelings right now.
He sat up slowly, cheeks still flushed and lips tingling a little from the kiss, turning to murmur a spell to get the boat untied and on it's way back towards the castle. He distracted himself, or tried to, by watching the waves that the boat made in it's wake.

Kuro was silent at the other end of the boat obviously lost in nervous thought about what had just happened. He was gripping the edge of the boat tightly, unsure on what to think about the kiss..... had he really just done that?
He glanced over his shoulder at the blonde, to see what he was doing and to see if he could read any emotions.
