Shion rested against him, but didn't completely collapse, so he wouldn't fall over. Hesitantly, she removed her lips from his, and looked into his eyes. She smiled. "Thank you, Edge... Thank you so much..."

Edge smiled softly back at Shion, tucking away a bit of stray hair from her face. "Shion. As long as we're together, I promise I won't ever give you up, let you down, run around and desert you, make you cry, say goodbye or tell a lie just to hurt you." He rested his forehead against hers, simply enjoying the night.

Shion laughed at his wording. "You're silly, Edge." She ran her fingers tenderly along his cheek, gazing at him lovingly. "But so sweet..." With a hum of delight, she closed her eyes, and relaxed.

Edge blushed lightly at Shion's words. "I guess that makes me a piece of candy, then,,," he chuckled at his own (admittedly bad) joke.
Suddenly, he remembered something. He reached into his pockets and fumble around before he pulled out a small jewelry box. "I wanted to give this to you earlier, but I kept on forgetting." He opened the box and inside was a golden ring with a small emerald set in the center. "Merry belated Christmas, Shion." He smiled at her, his face full of joy and anticipation.

Shion stared at the ring in amazement. It was so beautiful!! She looked at him, then back at the ring. "Oh, Edge, it's gorgeous!! This is so special..." She leaned over and kissed him softly, a wide smile on her lips. Then, she sat back, and looked it over once more. "But... I didn't get you anything..." She tucked some hair behind her ear, blushing with embarrassment.

Shion slid the ring onto her finger, her eyes never leaving it. "No one's ever given me anything like this..." She slid her arms around him, and rested her forehead against his. "Edge... We've only been dating for a few hours, but you've treated me better than even my family..." She closed her eyes and gave him a gentle kiss.

Edge returned the kiss, his eyes shut. After a few seconds he pulled away and smiled. "Well, I care about you. A lot. You mean the whole world to me." He looked up at the sky, his eyes scanning the heavens. "I want to treat you with the respect and love that you deserve." He smiled at her. <"I love you, Shion. I can't help it.">

Edge flopped on his back, staring up at the vast night sky. Ultimately, he turned to look at Shion. "...you are aware that you just made my year and it's barely even started." He placed his hand over hers, happy to be with the girl he loved.

With a laugh, Shion rolled onto her side to face him. "And you are aware that you've just made my entire life." She grinned at him with a soft giggle, before turning her eyes back to the sky. "It's so beautiful out here... Especially at this time, when the moon's at its peak..."

Edge paused for a second, as if an idea was forming in his head. He stood up and picked Shion up bridal-style. "You might wanna hold on." He warned her as he took a running leap at the stone walls of the castle. He leapt his way up to one of the lower roofs of the castle and set Shion down. "I figured it'd be nice to get a closer look..." He shrugged and sat down next to her.

Shion gasped when he picked her up with such ease, and then dashed off with her. Being terrified of heights, she buried her face into his chest, and held on to him for dear life. Not that she minded holding onto her INCREDIBLYSEXY boyfriend.
Once they had stopped, Shion looked up at the sky. Even as he put her down, she held on to his shoulder. "Ahhh..." Her eyes were wide and sparkly with awe. Carefully, she removed a hand from him, and reached out towards the moon. "I feel like I could just grab it..."

Edge smiled lightly at Shion. Her expression was the kind that would make baby kittens go "Aww~" to him, anyways
He placed an arm around her shoulders and gazed at the sky. "Whenever I was little and couldn't sleep, I'd sit on the roof of my house and look at the stars. They've always been beautiful to me." He grinned at Shion. "Although they've got some competition now."

Shion glanced over at him with a blush and smile. Teasingly, she nudged him. "Psh. They've always had competition." She grinned and winked at him, before returning her attention to the stars.
"When I was little, my sister Mion would always have panic attacks..." she searched the stars for a moment, as if looking for her story, "She was scared of death. She didn't think anything good would happen. I used to tell her that when we die, we would become stars in the sky, and light up another little girl's dreams..."
After a moment of reflection, Shion cleared her throat, and looked at the ground. "But, ah, that was a long time ago..."
