Shion laughed some more, and began to brush his hair out of his eyes for him. "Why don't you leave it spiked then?" After she thought his hair was stable, she began to play with her own bangs. "I like mine like this. I've always left it down. Mion was the one that would pull her hair up." She sat up, and began to braid a strand of her hair.

Edge murmured a quick 'thank you before he started. "Well, I kinda wanted to go for a new look. Since I showed up here, I've worn essentially the same thing. Why not mix it up a bit?" He scowled as a lock of hair fell. "Or so I thought. As it turns out, my hair hates me." He annoyedly flicked the hair back into place.

Shion began to stand up, very carefully, and rubbed his hair. "Well, you look good no matter what. You looked good when I first met you, and you look good now." She grinned down at him. Out in the distance, she could see a tinge of light orange fading into the blue of the night. "I think the sun's coming up..."

Edge sighed. He was hoping that the sun was still a few hours away... "I guess that means we should start heading back, huh..." He stood up and stretched, his muscles oddly sore. "And here I was hoping we could talk more before the sun came up." He extended his hand to Shion to help her up. "Well, all good things must come to an end, I suppose."

Shion took his hand, and wrapped her other arm around him. "Why? It's the weekend. We have the entire day together." She looked back out into the horizon. "Besides, the sun won't be all the way up for a good while. We can watch it rise together..."

Edge stopped. "Oh. Yeah. I forgot about that." He calmly sat down next to Shion and stared at the sunrise. "Y'know, I've seen my fair share of sunrises, but this is probably one of the most enjoyable ones I've ever seen." He smiled and placed his hand over hers, just noticing how small and delicate Shion's hands looked compared to his rough calloused hands.

Shion knelt down in front of Edge, and gazed lovingly into his eyes. She just wanted to enjoy him for a little bit longer, before the sun came up. "You're so handsome..." She blushed softly with a smile, and leaned forward to kiss him.

Edge blushed lightly and chuckled as he leant forward to kiss Shion back. The instant their lips met, all other thoughts, the world itself melted away. All that mattered, at that moment, was her, the girl he loved. His Shion.

Shion's sighed with content in his arms. Just being around him relaxed her, especially now. She really had never felt this way before. Edge was hers now, and she wouldn't let him go, unless he wanted. He was far too important.

Edge looked out at the rising sun. It was getting higher, and the orange rays it emitted bathed the surrounding countryside in a warm glow. Suddenly, out of nowhere, his stomach gurgled. Loudly. His eyes widened as he stared down in embarrassment. "S-sorry..." He murmured sheepishly, his face turning red.

Shion covered her mouth to keep herself from laughing. He was being too cute! "Come on, why don't we get some breakfast?" She stood up and held a hand out to him, smiling warmly.

Edge accepted her hand and lifted himself up. He picked up Shion and looked over the edge of the roof. "Lessee... I leap to that tree... " He took a few steps back and smiled at Shion. "Hold on tight." He ran off the rooftop and landed gently on a nearby tree branch, using his momentum to leap to a lower branch. He did this a few times before they touched solid ground. Setting Shion down gently, Edge grinned triumphantly. "Edward's still got it!"

Shion did as told and held on to him with all her might. Once on the ground, she sighed in relief, but did not remove her arms from him. "I don't think you could lose it!" she laughed.

Edge stuck his tongue out playfully at Shion. "Oh, you know what I mean." He put on his best pouty face and looked at her square in the eye.

This only made her laugh more. "Edge, you can't scare me of all people." She gave his nose a little peck, before taking his hand, and heading into the castle.
