Edge looked up at the sky, mulling over Shion's story. "I wonder... What if you're right? About the whole star thing, I mean." He stared at Shion, his eyes full of curiosity.

"Heh," Shion shook her head, "I don't think so. That was just something I told her to calm her down." She ran a hand through her hair, trying not to think too much about it. "Gosh, I miss her... She was my best friend..."

Edge placed his hand over hers in an attempt to comfort her. "Even if it was just something you told her to calm her, it still is a nice idea." He smiled. "I know I wouldn't mind being a star. I could keep an eye on the people I care about."

"Yeah..." was all she could really say.
Shion leaned against him lightly as she wrapped an arm around his waist. The feeling of being held was nice, especially by someone you love. She smiled up at Edge. "I see why you would come out here when you were a kid.."

Edge wrapped his arm around Shion's shoulders, his eyes transfixed on the sky. "The night sky was something constant for me. Even when things were going nuts in my life, I could just go out and stargaze, knowing that they'd be there most every night." He paused. "Weather permitting, of course."

"Well, even then, they're still there. They're just hiding." Shion giggled, "I guess even they need rest. They do get stared at and studied a lot." She slid down carefully to sit. Pulling her knees to her chest, she sighed. "I love this so much. Just being here in the peace, with you."

Edge chuckled lightly and squatted down next to her, staring at the silver moon. "I wouldn't have passed this moment up for anything in the world." He leaned towards Shion and kissed her softly, smiling the whole time. "You mean the world to me."

She returned his kiss with joy. "And you mean the world to me."
After a moment of silence, Shion began to habitually play with her hair, and reflect. "Do you remember when we first met?"

"How could I forget?" He absentmindedly flicked a piece of his hair out of his eyes. "History of Magic class. We were passing origami notes and the professor jumped on our case for it." He laughed. "That, and I gave you the bouquet for accepting my invitation to the dance."

Shion grinned, nodding. "Yes, and I'm glad I did." She looked over at him. "I loved dancing with you... Even if it was just for a little bit. Those stupid dementors!" With a huff, she kicked at the air, which of course caused her to slip. She grabbed at the tiles of the roof and shrieked, trying not to fall.

Edge's eyes widened as Shion slipped. His own instincts kicked in as he dashed after her. Before she fell, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her up, slamming his heels down and actually cracking a few tiles so he didn't slide down. "Holy crap, that scared me..." Edge let out his breath. He hadn't even realized he was holding it.

"Scared you?" Shion crawled into his lap and held onto him tightly, peeking down over the edge. "That's a long drop..." she whispered. Her eyes found his, and she smiled in somewhat embarrassment. "There you go saving me. I feel like this is going to be our whole relationship." She laughed, and buried her face into his neck. "Good thing you're a ninja. I don't think I could have survived that." Her heart was still pounding hard with the remnants of fear.

Edge embraced the girl carefully, afraid to lose his grip. His heart felt like it was going to burst, and he let out a deep breath to calm his nerves. "Good Lord... I thought I would lose you..." He gently kissed the top of Shion's head, trying to keep calm. "At this kind of height..." He shook his head. "Maybe it wasn't a good idea to come up here."

"Ah, no!" Shion shook her head, gripping his shirt, "I love it up here! And I know I'm safe with you..." She leaned up to kiss his chin tenderly. "I know you won't let me get hurt up here..." She offered him a soft smile.

Edge sighed in defeat. "I guess we can stay up here." He smiled and shook his hair out of his face for the umpteenth. "Gah... How do people live with bangs like these? They're annoying." He blew at another silver lock that dangled in front of his face and scowled. "I like you better spiky, hair!"
