As the teacher referred to other students behind her, Shion turned. Her eyes first fell on Anri, and she grinned. "Hi!" she said quickly, not really wanting to interrupt her conversation with Gumball. Then, she saw Marshall, and waved. "Marshall! Come sit with us?" She smiled over at him. She knew he wouldn't move, especially not as close to the front as she was (not to mention the fact that she was beside Gumball), but she just thought she ought to be nice.

Rosalina smiled to herself, it was great that all her students were getting along so well, it would make things much easier for her when class started. Although she was slightly disappointed at the sight of the boy in the back starting to go to sleep, He must be very tired, He must have had a bunch to do today… she thought to herself. It was no matter, she could just send out a Lumos spell and startle him to wake up.

"That's right," he nodded, "though just Gumball's fine."
Suddenly he noticed Shion calling Marshall over with a wave. "Waiiit don't do that--" he protested. He actually wanted to be able to pay attention in this class for once.

Only just a few minutes before class was to begin, Masaomi finally reached the top of the tower and had entered the class room. Stairs. If there was one thing this school definetly had too much of it was stairs. Sighing, he entered the classroom and quickly looked around for any familiar faces, his eyes finally settling on Shion as the only familiar face in the room. "Ah, Shion-chan~" He called out to her.
He smiled and walked over to where she was sitting with two other Ravenclaws and pulled up a chair. One had bright pink hair, and the other had short black hair, and eyes hidden behind a pair of classes. "And who might this be~?" He directed at the girl, giving her a friendly grin.

Gumball's reaction made Shion laugh. "Gumball, it's okay. I doubt he's going to want to come sit with us, anyway." She patted her friend's shoulder softly. As Masaomi called out to her, she turned to him, and grinned. "Hey, Masaomi-kun!" She patted the seat next to her as he sat down. "This is Anri!" she gestured to the other girl. "Anri, this is Masaomi!"

Stifling a yawn, Fai stepped lightly up the stairs, trying not to let it show how tired he was. The first week or two back from Holiday was always tiring, and being up in the middle of the night for a class was still quite jarring to the system. Still, he tried to look bright eyed and bushy tailed....although he often sat at the back of the class and doodled or daydreamt.
It seemed that there were already quite a few students around, so Fai made his way to one of the free telescopes on the outer edges of the tower, wrapping his robe a little tighter around himself to keep the september chill out. He rifled through his bag, pulling out the usual class supplies - book, parchment, self-filling quill...he also snuck his sketchbook out, hiding it under his textbook for now.

Rosalina knew that class should start soon, but she wanted to give all the students a little more time in case they got lost trying to find the right stairwell. The poor dears, they must be exhausted trying to figure out how to get around in this large school. She knew what she wanted her first lesson to be, and how to catch the students' attention (in particularly the sleeping one). She flicked the star-piece at the tip of her wand with the fingernail at the tip of her index finger, warming up her wand.

The smiling boy was blond and seemed to be around her age. She had never seen him around before though... he wouldn't possibly be another transfer student would he? Sitting with her shoulders hunched forwards slightly, hands resting between her knees, head tilted downwards towards the desk, she gave a soft "It's nice to meet you Masaomi-san."

Shion watched the girl's composure, and furrowed her brows a bit. "Are you alright, Anri?" She was a bit concerned for the girl; she seemed just so uncomfortable. She was newer than even Shion, so she knew that the girl was going to be nervous around new people.

Straightening her posture a bit to seem more self-confident, Anri turned in Shion's direction and forced a slight smile. "A-ah. I'm fine," her eyes flitted in the direction of Professor Rosalina and she changed the subject. "The Astronomy teacher seems like a nice woman, doesn't she?"

"She does!" Shion faced the teacher. smiling brightly. "I'm glad this class is at night, cause I'm more nocturnal."

"Have you taken Astronomy before, Shion–" It suddenly occurred to Anri that she wasn't quite sure how to appropriately address the upperclassman. '-chan' was too informal, and '-san' felt sort of distant... but perhaps 'senpai'? Then again, they were in Europe, so maybe it would be okay to forgo any honorifics.

"Hm?" She glanced at Anri out of her peripheral, "Did you finish your question?" Shion smiled, leaning back in her seat. "No, I've never taken Astronomy before, which is why I'm taking it now. I prefer to look at the stars on my own free time~"

Deciding to be cautious rather than risk being rude, Anri decided to ask Shion. "Would it be okay if I called you Shion-senpai?" she paused, then added, "Or do you prefer something else?"

Shion laughed a little, and shook her head. "I don't mind, but why -senpai? I'm not a superior, Anri-chan." She grinned at the younger girl. "I'm just older."
