"Ah, well, since you're my senior as far as school years go, so I felt it might be appropriate..." she trailed off, thinking to herself. She had had very few friends back in Japan, so having an upperclassman (of the same gender) to become friends with and look up to was something she'd wanted to experience.
"Do you know how long it is until class starts?" Anri asked. They had been in the classroom for a while already.

Rosalina Smiled. “Let us begin…” She said in a barely audible tone. “Lumos.” She held her wand out and cast her spell. Her wand began to glow a soft pale blue that barely lit the room. But it soon began to grow brighter and brighter. Rosalina had been studying the stars long enough to figure out what helps them shine so bright; she had used this knowledge to perfect the spell Lumos to it’s full potential. The light shone brightly and slowly engulfed the whole room to a bright light that would have been seen through the entire stairwell had the door been left open.
After a few moments of letting her light shine brightly, she let the light dim back down into her wand. That should have gotten their attention by now. When the light had mostly faded away, she began to speak to the class “Good evening, everyone, and welcome to Astronomy Class: study of the stars. My name is Rosalina, and I will be your teacher.” She smiled and slid her wand into her sleeve. “What you just witnessed there was about 2.5 times brighter than the north star as seen here from Earth. In close range, which so far has been impossible to achieve, this star has the potential to blind you.”
She walked over to a nearby telescope “Now, I have set up the telescopes next to your desks so that the North Star is directly in sight to you. You may take a look at it now if you like.” She nodded her head towards the class and smiled to herself. Yes, great job! Get students attention, and teach them something important within a minute! I think I can do this!

Marshall groaned--maybe a little louder than he had anticipated. The light was just so bright, something he was not expecting after the dimly lit classroom. It was around midnight anyway, wasn't it? Light that bright shouldn't exist at this time. Like... At all.
He lifted his head from his desk, only to rest his chin on his palm, his elbow propped up on the table. It wasn't that this class was boring, it was just... Okay, maybe a little bit, but it was dark... And quiet... And slow paced... The perfect napping class! Too bad there weren't enough students where the teacher would miss him... He seemed to be one of the only students sitting in the back too, everyone else had clustered up front.

Gumball heard Marshall groan, but figured it served him right for sleeping in class. He instead concentrated on listening to their new teacher's instructions. He made sure to understand everything she said, then turned to the telescope. The North star? He leaned over to look through the telescope, focusing on the ball of light...

Looking in through the telescope, Anri looked speculatively at the North Star. It wasn't as bright as Professor Rosalina's Lumos, but it stood out from the dark night sky it inhabited nonetheless. Shifting the telescope slightly, she searched for Canis Major, which contained the star Sirius. She had read out about some of the major constellations the other night, and was somewhat curious as to what they would look like in real life.

She waited a little bit so that all the students could see the North star clearly before continuing with her lecture. “Now, this same star, which is approximately 434 light years away, is also known as Polaris, which happens to be the brightest star in it’s constellation: Ursa Minor. Can anyone tell me another name for this Constellation?"

Anri looked away from her telescope and raised her hand. If she remembered correctly, Ursa Minor meant the Little Bear, but was also called the Little Dipper.

She saw a hand shoot up, so Rosalina acknowledged her: “Yes…” Oh no! I forgot to do the roll! Oh, I’m so embarassed! And it was becoming obvious, too. Rosalina had started blushing. She put a hand up to her cheek and closed her eyes “Please forgive me, I forgot to call roll… could you tell me your name when you answer?"

And suddenly, he had an idea. "Wait, wait, wait, hold it! I have the answer!" Marshall's hand shot up, waving around like a five year old that had to go to the bathroom. "Hey! Over here!" Trying to be as annoying as possible, which, totally wasn't normal for him yes it was , Marshall sprang up from his seat. "Barnaby Gumball here, and the answer would be uh..." He pulled a blank, he usually knew this! Astronomy was something he was actually good at! Wait... Why would he even want to get the answer right? "It's Orion!" Might as well make Gumball look like a fool while he still could. Maybe this class wouldn't be half bad.

As Marshall started to shout, Gumball did his best to ignore him. That is, until that idiot used his name! He whipped around to glare at the slytherin boy. What was he planning? He answered wrong. He answered wrong. "Excuse me," he exclaimed, spinning around to face the teacher and throwing his hand up in the air. Without waiting for a reply, he continued, trying and failing to keep his tone polite. "I actually DO know the answer, and it's the Little Dipper." He didn't realize that he wasn't really doing a good job of clearing up the mix-up.

Rosalina stepped back in shock. Wasn’t this boy half-asleep not two seconds ago? What happened? Did my spell really work that well? She was lost in complete bewilderment. “…No… I’m sorry, honey… But I appreciate your… um… enthusiasm… Barnaby, was it?” then She heard the other voice. He was Barnaby? What? She was so confused… “Which one’s Barnaby? The one with the pink hair… you’re right… I don’t quite…” She started to trail off in her confusion.

Opening her mouth to answer, Anri was cut off by Marshall, who suddenly seemed extremely enthusiastic about the course. "Barnuby Gumball here, and the answer would be uh..." the boy paused. Anri blinked in confusion, she was certain that it was Marshall speaking, not Gumball. Taking the sudden silence as an opportunity to speak, Anri said "The Little Dipper." just as Marshall (that was Marshall, right?) shouted "It's Orion!"

He took a deep breath; it wouldn't do him any good to make a fuss. It would just make Marshall's foolishness seem more credible. "I'm Barnaby Gumball," he told the teacher. "My housemate, Anri, can vouch for me, as can Shion over there. His name is Marshall Lee, and he's a nuisance." He knew he probably should have left off that last part but he was too miffed at the moment.
((EDIT: Oh haha I shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a keyboard because my character's name is not "Marshall Gumball"))

"Don't listen to this impostor! I'm the real Gumball! He's been trying to take over ever since the beginning of this year! And he even has the audacity not to use a polyjuice potion or anything of the sort!" Marshall waved an accusing hand towards Gumball. There was no doubt he was gonna get yelled at by him later, but whatever. That was something Future Marshall had to deal with.
"I can't believe this!" He stomped to the front of the classroom, grabbing the paper Barnaby had out and ready. "He can't even get my handwriting down!" Marshall flaunted the paper with the perfect handwriting around, as if it were proof before slamming it back down on Gumball's desk. "Listen here! You may have fooled them, but you'll never fool me! I know that I am Barnaby B. Gumball and this... this cheap impostor cannot convince me otherwise!"

“O-o-oh… o-o-okay.” She was still trying to piece things together. She pointed at the pink haired boy, "So, You’re… Marshall, the one who got it right.” then the boy who had caused the commotion, “You’re the other Marshall, the person with a confused identity disorder,” pointing to the girl who first raised her hand, “You’re Anri, the person who I think got it right,” then to the girl with the green hair “And you’re Shion…. Then who’s Barnaby? And who’s this Gumball? And…” She slumped down in her chair at her desk with her hands on her head.
