Almost in slow motion, the wand fell in the direction of the field. However, it suddenly stopped mid-fall. Baffled, Anri stared at it, eventually realizing that she had jammed it a bit too far into the dirt. With a sigh, she tugged in out, wiped it off, and faced the field.
Shion was leaning on Masaomi, and sniffling quietly. Pursing her lips, Anri wavered for a second, and then walked out into the cooly falling rain. Nearing the two, she knelt down beside Shion and hugged her knees to her chest, looking off into the distance and unsure of what to say.

Masaomi looked at Anri with slight surprise. He knew that Anri and Shion were fairly good friends, so maybe she could help her out more than he could... Gently, Masaomi nudged her in the side, hoping she would lift her head. "I think Anri-chan seems like a willing canidate, don't you~?" He said smiling at the both of them.

At his nudge, Shion lifted her head, only to see Anri. She blushed with embarrassment and skidded away from him. "I look like a fool, Masaomi." She hid her face in her knees. "I don't want anyone to be afraid of me anymore!!"

"I don't fear you, Shion-senpai," Anri said softly, "anymore than I fear myself. I don't think there is much you could have done that would truly scare me." Which was probably true, all things considering.

Shion wiped at her eyes again, another sarcastic smile appearing on her lips. "I killed six people, Anri-chan, in cold blood. Tortured them to death with my magic." She looked up at her friends, her eyes still sad and mournful, but her smile was almost sadistic. "Four of my friends, my sister, and my grandmother."

Oh. She probably should have expected that. "Shion-senpai already knows what I'm like. I don't even know how many I've slaughtered." She really did not want to know either. Still, to kill relatives and friends seemed like a emotionally affecting thing to do. "There were many things I could have done when my parents died, but I chose the worst one. I developed an undiscriminating sociopath."

Shion moved a bit closer to Anri, her eyes wide. "Anri-chan's a killer too?" She grabbed her friend's arm, tears welling up again. "You understand?" She began to cry once again, and hugged Anri around her waist.

Wrapping her arms around Shion, Anri whispered, "My mother tortured my father to death when I was five. Then she went after me. I tried to defend myself with an ornamental katana, but I blacked out. When I came back to my senses she was stabbed to dead and I was stained in blood. I don't know if it was Saika or if she suicided, but that would have been the first death I had somehow caused. It's the only one I can remember." All of her others had resulted in her waking up with bloody hands and dirty clothes.

Masaomi stood there stunned into silence, not sure what he could possibly say to help the situation. Instead, he merely pulled the both of them into a bear hug, resting his chin into the knook created by both of their heads. He wouldn't let this affect what he thought of the two. He wouldn't.

Shion clutched onto the both of them, a mix of emotions ravaging her body. She was surprised that Masaomi wasn't terrified of either of them, shocked that Anri was also a killer, but also... happy. Her tears and sobs were no longer because of sad memories, but because she had someone who finally understood her. Masaomi may not fully understand, but he didn't run; he was hugging her, and comforting her. That's really all she needed. "Thank you, thank you so much..." she whispered hoarsely.

"I am happy to know that I am not alone as well." Anri said in response. Looking to Masaomi, she murmured, "You'll stay quiet about this." It wasn't a question, but a command. "I might be inclined to obliviate you... unless you have something to say?" The second part was an attempt to bring Masaomi into the conversation.

Masaomi chuckled, somewhat darkly, at the girls seriousness. Taking the hand that was wrapped around her up to his mouth, he tapped his lips lightly with his fingers. "Mum's the word~ I promise I won't say anything,"

Trusting his word, Anri nodded and halfheartedly joked, "Would you do an unbreakable vow?" That was too dangerous of course, considering all of the ways a person could be forced to break it. Veritaserum, Legilimens, Imperio... the list went on and on.

Masaomi laughed, somewhat nervously and gave them both a squeeze. "For you two, I might~" He hoped they wouldn't feel the need to.

As the two spoke, Shion tried to calm herself down. It hurt to cry by now. "Yes. We should." The seriousness in her tone was not fake. She looked up at them with blood-shot, puffy eyes. "But I trust you two on your word..." She looked to Masaomi, and suddenly, her eyes narrowed. "You're not just saying all those things, and doing all of this, just to flirt, are you?!"
