Masaomi frowned, somewhat hurt by Shion's accusation. "I can be a nice person too, you know"

Her eyes softened a little, but she did not relax. "I..." She blushed with embarrassment and looked away. "I'm sorry, Masaomi-kun..."

"Ah... sorry for bringing that up." Anri apologized quickly, "It's just that it'd be nice to have some insurance of a sort if it slipped out that we were... you know." Even the most trustworthy of people could be induced to spill their deepest, darkest, secrets if put under the right conditions.

Shion nodded at Anri, slowly, almost hesitantly. "Yeah, you have a point, Anri-chan..." Her eyes turned back to Masaomi. "But... We could die..." she closed her eyes for a brief moment, to simply think on it, before looking at him once more, "I can't lose any of you."

"Hmmm, in that case you could just trust me~?" He said smiling, trying to sound as trustworthy as possible. Really, he'd be the only one to die, but he didn't feel like now was the time to point out Shion's error. He'd really like not to have to potentially die, puts a whole damper on one's schedule and what not.

Shion simply stared at him for a moment, before her eyes fell closed, and she sighed softly. "I have no reason not to trust him, Anri-chan." Her attention moved to her female friend. She really didn't have a legitimate reason for not trusting Masaomi; his constant flirting put a bad taste in her mouth, but it was no reason not to believe he was an untrustworthy friend. She tucked her legs beneath her and ran a hand through her hair, trying to make herself look a little presentable, despite her rain-soaked form. "I don't think it would be necessary."

Suddenly feeling rather exhausted, Anri simply nodded at Shion and held back a yawn. Pulling out her wand, she asked, "Would you object to a Cheering Charm?" It would, at the very least, provide temporary respite.

Shion blinked at Anri in confusion. "A what?" She moved to sit beside Masaomi, pulling her knees to her chest. "A Cheering Charm? Sounds like it's something we need..." Her eyes fluttered closed and she rested her chin on her knees, allowing her hair to cover most of her upper body.

Masaomi grinned and gave Anri a thumbs up. "Well then by all means Anri-chan~"

Going through the motions which she recalled from third year Charms, Anri swished, flicked and pointed her wand; first at Shion, and then at Masaomi. From what she remembered, it should last for about an hour. Then, pointing her wand at herself, she cast the charm a third time. Slowly, a warm feeling of contentment bubbled through her and all of the stress from the previous situation seemed unimportant.

A smile appeared on Shion's face, and she brushed her hair away from her face. "Thank you, Anri-chan!" She stretched out her arms and cracked her back, before falling onto her back, relaxing. "I'm so glad you two haven't left me here. I know anyone else would have."
Shion truly did appreciate their kindness. Although she had come out here to be alone, having their company, and being able to tell them of her past, felt good to her. She hadn't been able to explain it to anyone else other than the people that needed to know, so that she wouldn't hurt anyone else. The farther away from her home she went, however, the more the disease she had seemed to die down. It would never fully leave her, and she knew that, but she took comfort in the friends she had for now.

Masaomi felt the warmth of the spell fill his body, and he suddenly felt all tension ease it's way out of his body. All the weight their previous conversation had had suddenly felt as if it were nothing. Even the bits of stress from his conversation with Katsuragi-sensei were incredibly distant now. He was relaxed. After letting out a sigh his face painted itself with a huge grin, the first genuine feeling one in days. Suddenly, he looped an arm around Anri's shoulder and held up a thumbs-up with his free hand, looking at Shion. "Never fear, Shion-chan, because Anri and I will always be here~!" He said with an air of Bravado, giving a friendly wink for added effect.

Shion giggled at Masaomi, and nodded at him. "Thanks, both of you. And I'm here too, you know." She released her legs and made her way over to them, but a sudden wind gust chilled her wet frame. She removed her cloak and let it lay on the ground beside her. "Maybe it wasn't such a good idea for me to come out here during a storm, but it's so... peaceful, I think."

Feeling unusually bright, Anri made a suggestion, "Why don't we team up for the giant pumpkin carving contest that's coming up in a couple weeks?" she wasn't actually sure if it was a team event, but it would be ridiculously time consuming for one person to do the task by him or herself.

Masaomi closed his eyes and nodded with approval, "Leave it to Anri-chan to come up with all the good ideas~" He peeked an eye open and smiled at Anri. "Sounds like fun~"
