Shion nodded, suddenly excited. "Yeah, yeah! Are you guys dressing up for Halloween this year?" She scooted a bit closer to them. "I don't know if I want to, but the ball we're having... I'm not sure if I should be in a costume or a dress." She looked up at the sky, as if the answer would be written there.

Considering the question of costumes, Anri pondered, "There was something I wanted to try, but I don't know if it would work... or if it's allowed." then she heard Shion's second statement. "Why don't you do both? You can wear a dress to the Halloween Dance and a costume to the party part."

Shion thought on it for a moment, and nodded. "Yeah, that's a good idea, but I still don't know what costume. What was your idea, Anri-chan?" She then glanced over at Masaomi. "And what about you? Do you have any ideas? Or are you even going to the dance?" Shion had no doubt in her mind that he would; there would be a cornucopia of dressed up pretty women there.

"My idea?" it wasn't totally against the rules, so, "I thought it would be interesting to switch places with someone else. Trade appearances for a couple of hours and let people try to figure out what was going on." It would be rather difficult to execute though, and she needed to find a way to transform aside from Polyjuice Potion, which was time consuming to make.

"Ah, that's such a cool idea!" Shion grinned and clapped her hands together. "Who would you like to switch with?" She tucked some stray hair behind her ear as she gazed at her friend.

"Switch with? Anyone would be fine, but I suppose someone of the same gender would be better. Being a boy could be... traumatic." Anri wasn't exactly interested in gaining boy parts for a few hours, and the changed location of the center of balance would impede walking. "I'll have to start the Polyjuice Potion soon though... it won't be done in time otherwise."

"You two could always switch with each other~" Masaomi suggested. "Oh, and as for what I'm going to dress up as..." Masaomi paused for a minute, before a huge smile spread across his face. "That's going to be a secret~☆" He brought his finger up to his grinning mouth for extra emphasis.

Shion rolled her eyes with a smile at Masaomi. "I would, but my date asked me, it would be confusing if I showed up as someone else." She was only joking, she really didn't have a date. And it was a neat idea, after all... Perhaps she could surprise Masaomi too, by going as Anri instead? She pondered the idea with a smirk.

Looking hopefully to Shion, Anri was disappointed when she heard that Shion already had prior arrangements. Although she could be joking about having a date. Thinking further, Anri realized that if Masaomi thought that Shion wasn't considering an identity switch, then even more confusion could occur (which was ideal, of course). Having thoroughly convinced herself that Shion didn't actually have a date and was completely willing to switch, Anri resolved to ask the girl later on about it.
"It's going to be secret? Then before it becomes one, why don't you tell us Masaomi-san? We're very curious." As far as attempts to shift conversation went, it was pitiful, but it would do for now.

"When the day comes, we'll see who gets the bigger surprise. Is it really that amazing?" she queried, referring to the costume. Then, turning to Shion, "I heard that there's going to be a girls night out for costume shopping in Hogsmeade. Will you be going?" Even if she was switching identities, she needed a costume.

Shion grinned at Masaomi, but felt just a pang of... something. The spell wouldn't allow hurt, but she did feel something, since Masaomi didn't seem to care if she had a date or not. Why did she care? He was a flirt, and probably had a date himself. Shion shook the thought away and looked at Anri, catching the end of her question. "Hm? Oh, yeah, I am." she smiled, "I don't think I need to. I like your idea of switching bodies. But I'd like to look around, at least."

"I'll see you there, then." Anri aquiesced. Yawning from exhaustion, she watched the last slivers of sun dip under the top of the looming forest. "Perhaps we should return to the castle now... I'll see you two at the pumpkin carving." She stretched her arms as she said this. They had been there for a very long time.

((FFFF didn't mean to not notice OTL brain running on very little sleep **bangs head on keyboard**)) "True true~" Masaomi sprang up from the ground and brushed himself off. "Though I think Shion-chan would look good no matter what the situation~" He shivered a bit, suddenly noticing he was quite drenched as well. "...But, changing does sound like a good idea" He said smiling, picking up his cloak from the ground.
