John strolled out to the Student Information Board, where the happenings of the school’s clubs and classes were posted on colorful sheets. As a new teacher who was late to arrive this semester, he had not had anyone sign up for his class, the History of Magic. Finding himself quite bored with scribbling on his chalkboard in an empty class, the new Professor pressed a pin into his own blue paper, attaching it to the board, he smiled and turned right around, checked his pockets for his wand, and went back to his room. An old desk, a pair of shoes propped up on the left side of the desk. These feet were attached to legs, clothed in pants rather then the traditional robes of Hogwarts. These legs attached to the torso, clad in a blue blazer, of a thirty-something man by the name of John Smith, fiddling with two rounded wood pieces and some string. These pieces snapped together, and the string was wound up between the other pieces. A finger worked it’s way through the knot at one end of the string, and let it fall to the ground. It spun for a moment, but then fell to the ground, splitting the yo-yo in half. Angered, Smith kicked them under the desk as he noticed some students filing in to the room. Smiling and forgetting his toy as they picked desks at random, some sitting in the far front, and several clumped together at the back, Smith introduced himself to the class. “Hello and welcome to the History of Magic course, I am Professor John Smith, and I will be your instructor for this year.”, he pronounced loudly, getting up and turning his chalkboard to the other side, both hiding his doodles and showing a clean board for notes and the like. Wandering into History of Magic, Anri wondered why she had signed up for this class. Oh, right, the poster. It had been the line near the bottom, 'located between the Astronomy Tower and Potions room', that had amused her. Saying that your classroom was somewhere between the highest tower and the dungeons was only slightly more informative than saying: 'in Hogwarts' or, even worse, 'Scotland'. Setting her schoolbag on a random desk, she looked to see if any of her friends had signed up.

Fenris wandered into class, choosing a spot towards the front, where not many students had taken a seat. He'd always been good with history (even if it WAS Wizard history) and there were also no exams for this course. It'd be perfect: He was literally destined to succeed.

Isabela had signed up for this class, of course, because there were no exams. History wasn't really that fascinating to her; mundane topics rarely were. At least the classroom was interesting enough. And, if all else failed, she had Anders in her pocket to entertain her.
She sat down in the middle, giving Anri a jaunty wave. Anders climbed out of her pocket and ran down her arm, taking a spot at the front of her desk, his nose twitching furiously.

Fionna stood outside the door, a sad, pathetic look on her face; how she dreaded this class. She had signed up for it because she needed it, not because she liked it. She knew she would fail, she could feel it, but she had to at least try. With a heavy sigh, she trudged in, forcing a smile.
"Hey there everyo-!!" She cut herself off as she tripped over her own ankle, and crashed face-first into the floor. Cake bounced in after her, and nudged at her face worriedly. "Meow! Mow? Merowwwww~!"
With a whimper, Fionna simply rolled away from the door, and only stopped when she hit a desk. Her face was a beet red, and it was obvious by the tips of her ears. Cake followed her, still meowing. "Cake, I'm fine... Just leave me here to die." The cat rolled her eyes, and swiped at Fionna's arm, causing the human girl to jump up with a cry of shock. "Ow!! Cake!!"

"Fionna!" Isabela smiled and ran to help her friend. She scooped Cake off the floor before she could do more damage to her owner, and plopped the cat in a seat next to her. "Come sit, Fionna."

While she did feel better that Isabela didn't seem to notice her blunder, Fionna knew that someone had to. She rose, her face still flushed, and took the seat where Cake had been. Said cat was now on the desk, eying Anders. Fionna smiled at Isabela. "Hey, 'sup?"

"Not much. Nice entrance, by the way." She winked at her friend. She then glanced at Cake the cat always seemed to be staring at Andi, but not in an eat-you sort of way. Strange.

Cake curled up on the desk, taking her eyes away from Anders, and decided to take a nap. Fionna was already blushing, so Isabela's comment had little effect in that department. "Yeah, thanks." She grinned and laughed at herself. "Thank goodness none of my other friends were here to see it. Marshall would not let it go if he saw it. And Gumball'd... Well, he'd flip." She laughed again, trying to imagine her friends different expressions.

Smiling at the antics of her friends, Anri looked at Fionna's desk, "May I ask... why did you name her Cake?" It was a unique, yet altogether curious sort of name.

Edge walked into the classroom, barely acknowledging the other students. Well, Fenris anyways. He chose a seat closer to the back, in case this class got too boring. As he sat down, he glanced around at his fellow classmates. That Isabela girl, he had to admit she was pretty good looking. Fiona, she was cute enough, but not his type. As for Anri... he still wasn't a hundred percent sure on her, but she seemed okay. He stood up after setting his things up, walked over to the girl with the bunny hat and gave her his most charming smile that he could pull off through his mask. "Hello, Fiona-hime. How are you on this fine day?"

Violet made her way into the History of Magic classroom, for once not the first one there. Quickly glancing about the room, she smiled as she spotted Fenris. Making her way to the front, she gave a small "Hello" to Isabela, Fionna, and Anri, before approaching Fenris. "H-hey there! May I?" She indicated the seat next to him.

"Of course." Fenris smiled at her. She was one of the few in a small group of people that he could genuinely smile at. It was weird how this year at Hogwarts had him opening up more than any other year.
He also liked having Violet around. He knew he could count on her, and he enjoyed her very similar personality. It was like having a twin.

"Who's this Fionna?" Isabela was pretty sure she'd never seen this boy around school. But he seemed older than all of them, so how exactly was that possible?
Not wanting to miss the chance of making a new older friend, she smiled politely at him, waiting for Fionna to answer his question so that she could introduce herself.

Fionna beamed at Anri, plucking the cat off of her desk and snuggling her. "Cause I like cake a lot, and Cake is so sweet!!" She pecked the top of the feline's head. Cake soaked up the love, purring and kneading at the air in joy. However, Cake noticed the boy approaching before anyone else did, and eyed him suspiciously. Fionna looked at her cat quizzically. "What's wrong?"
"Hello, Fiona-hime. How are you on this fine day?"
Fionna looked up at Edge, and blushed a little at the -hime name given to her. She smiled at him. "I'm doing pretty good. How are you, uh... Edge, right?" She had seen him around a few times, but they hadn't really ever spoke. "Awesome name, by the way. It's hardcore." Blue optics flicked to her two friends. "This is Anri," she gestured to the small, shy girl, "and Isabela!" She clapped a hand onto Isabela's back with a grin. Her eyes returned to Edge. "You wanna sit with us?"
