Edge shifted uncomfortably in his chair. "I guess... I usually spend so much time either practicing my ninjutsu or trying to catch up on schoolwork that I tend to stay relatively isolated." His head perked up slightly. "We count as friends, right?"

Shion nodded. "Of course! You can't just give a lady a rose and not expect her to be friends with you, dear." She flashed him a grin. "I believe, around here, that you could find some friends to practice with you. You won't be as isolated, then." She ran a hand through her hair, and leaned back in her chair, getting comfortable.

The boy was unique. Giving a smile in response to his greeting, Anri listened as he flirted with Shion. The use of 'princess' to refer to all of the girls was unusual, but Edge had not seemed to be making fun of them, so it was okay. She honestly did not recall seeing the boy beyond mealtimes, so his classes most likely did not coincide with hers aside from this one.
Watching as Edge displayed his ninja skills, she silently agreed that he was very quick on his feet. Still... "I thought ninja's were supposed to be discreet and not stand out... but your mask..." the mask was, of course, the first thing she had noticed upon inspecting him. While it did obscure his face, she couldn't imagine he would be able to blend in while wearing it.

Edge smiled and laughed. "that's a pretty good idea, Shion-hime! I never thought of inviting people to practice with me." He spun his wand around a few times, just to keep his hands occupied, and frowned slightly. "One slight issue. I've been training for over a decade. I'm pretty sure no one here is as dedicated to the art of ninjutsu as I am..."

"Well, maybe you could teach them?" Shion looked at Anri, blinking. "Oh? You don't think so?" Her eyes flicked back to Edge. "Well, your mask hides your face, at least..." She wasn't too keen on things like stealth, so she wouldn't have even noticed anything if Anri hadn't said something.

"Another good idea!" Edge beamed. "Shion-hime, if you were any more intelligent, Einstein himself would have a run for his money." After hearing Anri's comment, he subconciously tugged lightly at the mask. "truth be told, I do wear this just for the looks. Plus, if I didn't wear it, I'd probably look like kind of unusual..." the older boy shrugged, as if it was of little consequence. "if you'd like, I could remove it."

Her blush returned at his compliments, and she looked away once again, with a hand on her cheek. "Edge-san..." Her thoughts suddenly flashed to Masaomi, and she wondered... Could he just be a flirt too? Oooohh, men!! Her brows furrowed in frustration, and she pouted slightly. However, when he talked of removing his mask, she was suddenly interested once again. "What do you mean you'd look unusual?"

Edge shifted slightly. He hated talking about this. "Without my mask, I'm essentially a 17 year old guy running around in sweats and a cape, claiming he can pull off feats of ninjutsu. With it on, I feel like more people would take me seriously, per se..." He began to pull the mask off. "Again, if you'd like, I can show you what my face looks like..."

Noticing that he was becoming uncomfortable, Shion slowly shook her head. "No no, you don't have to. But I think people would believe you anyway..." she smiled at him, but really, she had wanted to see him with his mask off. She was curious...

Edge let go of his mask, the piece of cloth snapping back into it's normal position rather loudly. Edge gripped where his face and mask met and silently cursed. "Another reason I wear it... it hurts like the Devil to put it on, and it's really a pain to take it off, too..." He reached in his bag for his ever-so-elusive stash of band-aids, one of the most important objects to a ninja-in-training. "Where'd those band-aids go...?"

Shion winced at the loud snap, and felt a bit bad for him. She watched him search for band-aids, wondering if it was really that painful. "Erm.. band-aids? Did it cut you?"

Smith chuckled to himself as the students shuffled in. Waiting for the rest to filter in, he asked their names and favorite moments in Wizarding History, as well as why it was their favorite event. Stepping back over to his desk, he picked a couple grapes from a fruit bowl on the desk, looking back at his new pupils. Counting them, the Professor noticed a couple less had arrived than there were names on his roster.

Teal optics flittered towards the front as the professor spoke. When names were asked, her hand flinched, as if to be raised, but then he also asked for something else... Something she had never thought about. Shion looked away, and even sunk a bit in her chair, awaiting everyone else to answer first as she searched deep within her mind to find some sort of something to give him.

Fenris smiled. "I think I'm at least beter than this." He raised his hand. "I'm Fenris Candor, sir, and I'm particularly fond of the Goblin Rebellions. Cheifly becasue they seem to take up such a large part of our history."

Edge turned to Shion, still rummaging through his bag for his band-aids. "It cut me a little," he replied. "It shouldn't be too much of an issue..." A-ha! Finally found that box of... Hello Kitty band-aids... He placed the bandages around where the small yet painful cuts were, hoping that they weren't too visible underneath. His head perked up as he heard Fenris' reply to the professor. Not wanting to be outdone, he leapt to his fate. "My name is Edge Geraldine, and I find the first meeting of the Eastern wizarding world and Western wizarding world to be particularly interesting, mostly because of the exchange of spells and concepts." He sat back in his seat, smirking slightly.
