With a soft sniff, she nodded. "I suppose..." She attempted to hold out her arm for him to wrap it. "I used to have someone that would try to take care of me..." She looked up at him with a new sadness in her eyes, "But she's dead now.."

Fenris wrapped her arm. "Everyone should have someone that looks after them." He looked at her. "I'm sorry for your loss." He smiled. "At least you know how it feels to have SOMEONE look after you. I was always on my own. Squib parents in a wizarding community." He stood back. "Finished."

"Squib? You?" Shion winced as he finished, then scanned it over with her eyes. "Thank you..." She looked up at him once more. "Do you love your family?"

Fenris paused. "I guess. They don't love me though. I'm ignored, treated like a don't exist, because I am a wizard." He sighed. "My dad's never around, and my mother won't even look at me."

The night was relatively clear, so Doyle grabbed his broom and flew off over the Grounds, towards the Forbidden Forest. His excuse was that he was looking for students who might be out of bed at night, but he really wasn't paying attention. Before long, he was drifting lazily over the Forest. It was pitch dark down there, and he could hear something howling down there. Good thing there are no students down-
"Help!!"
-there. A shrill cry broke the silent night, and he swooped down towards where he had heard it, kicking his firebolt into a faster gear. Breaking through the trees, he landed on the ground, and looked around. He knew the voice came from around here. Taking his wand out of his boot, he muttered, Lumos, and shone it around in circles. Voices from the southwest, deeper into the forest, drifted over to him. Walking quickly, but quietly so as not to disturb some of the creatures in the woods, he headed that way. Coming upon a small opening, his wandlight illuminated two people- Shion Sonozaki and Fenris Candor, both Slytherins. "What are you two doing out here," he asked, keeping his voice calm and steady. Now was not the time to start a panic; that could wait for when they were back in the castle.

Shion smiled very softly at him, and patted his shoulder with her good hand. "Life is hard. Unfair. But you can't help all that. It isn't your fault at all." She lowered her hand to her side, and took a seat; she was simply to drained to keep standing.
However, the teacher did give her a second wind. Shit!! She arose quickly, crying out as a sharp pain shot through her arm. "I-I, uh..." Shion looked at Fenris, her eyes wide and scared.

Fenris let her sit, and then turned to the person that ahd spoken. He knew the Professor, but only through the fact that he was Slytherin Head of House. "Professor Blackwell, it was my fault. I took Shion into the forest to show her the centaurs. I'm sorry."

Shion gasped to herself. "Fenris..." she whispered. No one had ever covered for her. Ever. Not that she had ever needed it. His protection made her feel just that: protected. She felt safe, as if he was an older brother taking care of his little sister. She glanced over at the professor.

Doyle looked back and forth between the two kids. He didn't know them that well, but he knew enough to think that Fenris wasn't the sort to break the rules like that. Shion, on the other hand... He sighed. "This isn't the time to discuss whose idea it was. Considering how dangerous this is, how much danger we're in, none of you are in trouble, but I want you to promise me you won't come out this deep again." He didn't mention the fact that the other Heads wouldn't be happy with him excusing their misbehavior; he'd deal with it when it came up. Right now, he needed to get them out. He glanced over at Shion, whose arm was wrapped in torn cloth. "Did something happen to your arm?"

Shion blushed, and laughed softly. "Yeah..." she had to quickly think of a story, which wasn't very hard; lying was something she was good at. "I heard the howling and got frightened. I climbed up a tree, but fell out..."

Fenris nodded, as if he'd been there the whole time. "I bandanged it, but she definitely needs immediate medical attention. I'm pretty sure she may have a completely broken arm, but it could just be a hairline fracture." He looked at her. "She's in a lot of pain." He turned to Shion. "I could carry you, if you can't walk because of the pain."

He nodded at it, looking it over and kneeling in front of her. "No offense, but this isn't gonna do her much good." Gingerly unwrapping it, he dropped the cloth on the ground and pointed his wand at the arm, holding it steady. "Ferula," he muttered and a splint appeared next to the fractured part, bandages wrapping it tight and forming a sling around her shoulder. "There, that should work till we get back to the castle. I can't do anything for the pain though." Next, he gave Fenris a once-over at his suggestion that he could carry Shion. "Are you sure you can hold her? I can have my broom carry her beside us instead."

Indeed, she was in a lot of pain; her arm felt as if it may fall off. But at Fenris' comment, Shion's blush grew, and she pouted teasingly. "I'm not that weak. I can walk!" She smiled at the two men, and as if to prove her point, began to walk in a random direction.

Shion's spell was too quick, Rita couldn't react in time.
'....wait, what? What am I doing out here?'
The last thing she remembered was being up in her room, reading a book... How in the world did she wind up out here, in the middle of the forbidden forest? The whole thing unsettled her...She looked around and spotted another boy, Ravenclaw apparently, who seemed to be just as confused, if not more, as she was. Not Good.
"Hey, you"
If they weren't lost before, they certainly were now.

With an uncertain smile, Fai replied to the girl "Hey...um...." he cast another glance around, but he could see no-one else. No obvious prank, no reason for them being outside....his eye fell to his bag, and he saw the sketchpad peeking out. Ah....well, that explained what he had been doing out here, although how he managed to be out here without rememebering the journey was beyond him.
"Did you cast a spell?" he asked, curiously "Or did I?" in case perhaps one of them had miscast, and it had backfired. He'd done enough experimenting to know that if a spell backfires, it can have some disasterous concequences...memory loss was not even in the top 10 worst scenarios.
