Watanuki woke up. He felt a pang in his head and his right hand automatically reached the part where it felt the most painful.
He was laying on the grounds. Still in a daze, Watanuki slowly lifted his upper body.
Trees everywhere. He looked up but there was nothing to see except the top of the trees.
The Forbidden Forest?
Watanuki rummaged his clothes for his wand. There it was in his jeans pocket.
"Lumos."
The spell wasn't much of use. Watanuki could only see less than one meter around him. The rest was pitch dark.
However, Watanuki felt calm. The only thing he felt was the pain in his head. He was about to cast a spell for direction when he heard a rustle from somewhere behind the trees.

Professor Fluttershy, a basket of translucent flowers in one hand and a lantern in the other, emerged from the trees a few moments latter, a worried expression on her face. She didn't hold much of a commanding presence and she sounded quite nervous when she spoke, but she also didn't seem at all afraid to be in the middle of the Forbidden Forest.
"Um, are... are you alright? You know students aren't supposed to be out after curfew, right? And it's very dangerous out here..."

Silently, Shion watched from high in the thick branches of a tree, well hidden by the canopy of leaves. Damnit, a professor… My perfect spot is ruined if I’m spotted… Instead of fleeing, Shion remained perfectly still, so as to not give herself away. While this was the Forbidden Forest, she felt most at home in the dark, dank landscape. Having Watanuki here was one thing-she could handle a Hufflepuff- but a teacher could land her into serious trouble.

Somewhat further away, Fai was sat on a fallen log with a sketchbook resting on his lap. He smiled as he watched weird rabbit like creatures doing a little dance. He'd found this particular flock in his third year, and when he was lonely or just needed some time to let down his mask he would come out here to watch them. They were very friendly creatures (according to one outspoken white one named Soel, they are 'Mokona's) who loved to sing, dance and chatter away. They also loved food, so Fai had snuck them some snacks from the castle....all he had to do was leave them out, and sit and wait until the little critters smelt food.
The blonde stopped drawing them when the whole flock stood still and their little faces whipped around, tense as they seemed to sense someone...or something. Soel gave Fai a worried look 'Others! You should go, Fai!' before they darted off to hide. Fai nodded and tucked his sketchbook away and scooped the bluebell flame he'd cast back into the glass jar before standing silently and using the blue light to find the path heading back to the castle. He attempted to keep himself in the shadows as his pale hair and complexion practically made him glow in the moonlight like some kind of vampire.

"Professor?"
His head was still throbbing with pain. He wanted to answer Professor Fluttershy's question but he couldn't think. After a few moment in daze, he looked alert. He sensed someone beside him and Professor. No, not someone. There were more than one. He also had this weird feeling...
He took a few steps towards the trees but then abruptly stopped. A howl pierced the night.

As the howl sounded, Shion grinned maliciously to herself. The sound of pain always made her feel some sort of happiness.

Fai jumped at hearing a howl coming from somewhere behind him....his first thought was 'Werewolf!', followed by 'I hope that's a lot further away than it sounded!'. Heart racing, he picked up the pace, keeping the bluebell flame low so that he could see the ground to avoid potholes and tree limbs.
Every snap and crackle of dead leaves and twigs underfoot had the blonde on edge, and his free hand snuck down to remove the wand from his pocket, just to be on the safe side. As he continued to walk, he thought he could hear voices somewhere nearby. He paused, straining to hear better, wand poised ready...there shouldn't be anyone in the Forest, especially not this late (not that it had stopped him from venturing down here.)

Rita had been fighting her way through the numerous twigs and branches when she had heard the howl and froze. 'dammit dammit dammit'
She had been following Shion ever since she had left the Slytherin common room to come out here, but had lost her after she had entered the forbidden forest. 'I really should just go back...' It honestly was no concern of hers if whatever was out there attacked the upperclassman... I mean, she came out here on her own accord. Yeah, she should just turn back now...
"Ah!" She cried as she stumbled over an over grown root, landing herself flat on the ground some distance away from a certain blonde Ravenclaw.

There was a loud crunch/crash as something landed nearby and Fai whipped around, pointing his wand towards the noise, ready to cast the first spell that came to his lips 'Proteg----ooh?' Fai blinked, the shielding spell faltering at finding not a werewolf or some kind of creature, but a girl. A brunette, flat on her face in the middle of the forest.
Hesitantly, Fai lowered his wand and held the flame out as he aproached cautiously, so he could get a better look at the girl - and her him, in case she was also thinking that he was a creature to defend herself from. "Are you ok, Miss??" he called softly, reaching out a hand to help her up.

Fiona spun around, dropping the basket of flowers and pulling out her wand. She held her lantern up, but it was noticeably shaking.
"S-stay behind me, ok?" she said. She was scared, but she was a professor and it was her duty to protect her students.

All the different noises around her made Shion's head hurt. Damn, how many people are here?! This was supposed to be my time.... She growled softly to herself, and began skimming along the thick canopy of branches, heading away from the group. I have to get away from them before I'm caught.

Something wrong was going to happen. This feeling kept coming to him. Still, his face looked calm, only a bit disturb by the pain in his head.
Watanuki turned his head to his right. Oblivious of Professor's Fluttershy's words, Watanuki walked towards his right, improving his pace in each steps.
Another howl. This time it was closer.

The howling continued, and Shion began to grow nervous herself. This was no human howl of anguish, it seemed to be a threat. All of these people were attracting something. Instead of pursuing forward in the trees, she headed upwards, deeper into their branches. Watanuki's presence seemed to make people gravitate this way, so she knew the only real safety she may have would be higher up.

"Ughhh, I'm fine!" Rita fired back, clearly frustrated with her current situation. This was absolutely ridiculous, why the hell had she followed that damn 6th year out here in the first place. Without taking the boy's hand she pushed herself up off the dirt ground of the forest and began patting away the dirt that covered her uniform. "What are you doing out here at this time of night?" She asked accusingly, disregarding the hypocracy of her statement. It was late, she was exhausted (and lost), and there was a who-knows-what out there somewhere.
And then it howled again. Closer.
Rita froze, the earlier tension melting away from her face completely.

"Wait! Don't just walk away! I mean, please..." She trailed after Watanuki, trying her best not to shake. "Really, you need to stay close, there are so many things in here you wouldn't want to meet." Even though the howls were coming from in front of them, she couldn't help checking over her shoulder. It was probably just her imagination, but she felt like someone was watching her.
